"I love my electric BMW but can't quite afford an electric Cadillac."

Oh, it sucks to have problems.

Not that different to a lot of people.

I've known stark differences, and I've known an alright guy, but overall I can't complain

    $65k vs $127k

    I call that stark...as it's nearly double.

Aren't the People of Walmart too poor to buy EVs, or are EV people becoming poor enough to tolerate shopping at Walmart?

Gualmart has been trying to change their appeal. Unfortunately none of the LLM's are witty enough to come up with a Target version that appeals to the woke. And ... Unfortunately for Target, they have a very 'white' appeal.

Welp, there's a new federal EV tax proposed by the current House majority.

    https://advocacy.consumerreports.or...niors-but-wont-solve-road-funding-shortfalls/

That's $2,000 over ten years--and won't come close to solving the revenue gap between current gas taxes and road construction/maintenance. As Consumer Reports calls it, the proposed tax is punitive and disproportionate.

I think I've posted enough in some of the Tesla/Elon threads that people here know I'm definitely not an Elon fanboy or worshipper. IMO, he is driven by a delusional messiah complex to believe he will be the savior of humankind.

With that said, I have autopilot 12.6.4 and have driven 13.2.8 on my wife's car at times. I seriously doubt autopilot caused that vehicle to suddenly turn left and crash. There is no evidence AP was even engaged. If more details emerge about what happened other than this video, we'll see.

My wild guess here is AP was engaged and the drivers arm, hand or thigh bumped the steering wheel causing the sharp left turn. He could have turned to reach for something in the back seat or wherever. From my own experience of AP failures and watching videos of the same since 13.2.8/12.6.4 were released a few months ago, this one doesn't smell right. If the driver was looking forward, he could have very easily grabbed the steering wheel and nothing would have occurred.

Just my objective opinion. Flame me all you want. If someone else currently using version 12 or 13 of AP has an opinion, please chime in.

Discussion of incident -- if he jerked the wheel to cause the crash I'm sure it will show up in the data.

No flaming, but there are other instances on Reddit that I've seen over the past few months where video shows (allegedly) FSD hitting a curb as it is rounding the curve, goes over divider lines, or just rear ends the vehicle. This instance is weird since it's going straight and something happened to make it swerve. I don't know if the pickup caused it to do something or something else happened as it passed the pickup because it happened immediately as it was passing by.
