the Warriors asked for it and started it

Steve Kerr, Steph, Dray, and Jimmy all thought thought it was a great idea to be play very physical and bully a young unexperienced team and com out unscathed on top

Except their 3 best players are 35 year olds surrounded by Podz, Post, and Spencer
against rockets whose 3 best players are 23 year olds surrounded by gritty playoff players FVV, Brooks, Adams

    What goes around comes around

I don't know if Stephen A. really understood what point he was trying to make, but I will say that he is SORTA right about the Rockets being the one to talk about the physical style of play working to their benefit.

The point I would make though is that the NBA will let Draymond get away with anything and everything, and the NBA will (and I would say already is) actively calling the game in a way to try and persuade the Rockets to back off of the Warriors physically. The NBA, and the way they allow the refs to influence games, and series' is some of the worst in sports.

It's probably a good idea for Ime and the Rockets to not brag about their style of play, BUT I think they should actually be WORKING THE REFS by using the media platform to go on the offense narratively about Draymond being able to get away with everything, and call the NBA out for wanting to help the Warriors.

Bake in the NBA fine for criticizing the refs, and the NBA. That's part of the game you have to pay to play. That's a good part in why Phil Jackson was such a good coach in the playoffs. He was so good at working the refs, and using the media to his advantage to put the NBA and the refs on their heels.

Refereeing NBA games is difficult. The Warriors are just the best at manipulating the refs. I don't understand it.

I think the Rockets push the physicality limits a lot to manipulate the refs into letting a physical game happen which usually benefits the Rockets even if they get a few more fouls called than most teams. The Warriors are just so much more on another level.

It kiiiinda appears Stephen A had a point about chippiness working against Rockets. I know Ime is keeping the players battle tested, mentally tough to not shrink. They will grow from it.

In the short term, feisty intensity might be taking themselves out their regular way more than it seems. Just in playoffs where each game counts, taking 6-9 quarters to adjust can cost a series. They neee to grow quick
