Just wondering here, what would be the most you've ever drank in one day or a 24 hour period?

As a fraternity pledge, we had a vomiting contest. Pledges, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors each got a keg. Whomever produced the most vomit from drinking won, IIRC the contest didn't end until the kegs were empty.

That was not a good idea. I couldn't tell you how many beers I drank. A whole lot. Enough that I couldn't raise any part of my body off the ground. Probably one bad move away from drowning in my own vomit, John Bonham style.

Sort of a loaded question since beer is a lot stronger than it was back in the day.

In my early 20’s, ~30 Bud Lights (3%?) on the river in New Braunfels one day, then ~10 more at a bar afterwards with a couple of cheap shots. Woke up, drank hair of the dog and drove to Crystal Beach where we continued to drink. No idea what the total was for the weekend.

I don’t drink much now, maybe once every 2-3 months. Six or so of the stronger, good beers over several hours is more than enough.

Bud Light hasn't changed it's ABV (4.2%) since it was first released, same with Miller and Coors Lights.

Me and my buddy drank a Shiner beer ball in one day playing washers.
Don't know how much that actually is.

The Shiner Ball was 3.875 gallons which equals 41.3 12oz beers.

I am sure I approached 30 but those were simpler times.

However, Original Shiner (1909) was 4.5%, so the actual number of beeric units (based on the standard 4.2%, 12oz scale) was 44.25. So 22 beers.

This assumes there was no more/less drinking/spilling between the two of you. As there was no control group or observational personnel to verify this highly scientific study, your feat lands in the realm of "hypothesis"

In my college days, 20 beers was what I could consume when it was one of those days where we day drank, and then kept the party going till sunrise.

That achievement can easily be accomplished when its a steady flow, and you consume water, and food at some point. You can do that and never really be at the point where you get the spins, embarrass yourself, and puke.

The better question is how much have I drank in 3 to 5 hours. That's typically when sh$t can get out of hand when you don't eat right, mix up your liquor, and pound drinks in a shorter timeframe.

Maybe it was a dry county beer or Bud Dry? It was Bud something and it wasn’t 4.2%. It was cheap and plentiful.

I think we picked it up in Alvin (Brazoria County), which was semi-dry while I was growing up.

Back when I regularly drank, I mostly drank bourbon...and I've definitely finished a half gallon in a night many times before.

When I lived in Austin, forever ago, I remember $1 you call it's were the drink special of choice, and that can get dangerous quickly. I remember most of a night when a 6th street bar had $1 Long Island Ice Tea's and i saw my tab was something like 30 bucks worth of them the next day.....no clue how I made it home.

When it comes to beer, I never really kept track....but due to drinking games, we'd buy a ton of those Lone Star 24 packs, so I'm sure I've had 20 or 30 beers before.

There was a couple of decades where I had the hardest working liver in the business. Basically the only reason I'm still alive is that I got incredibly lucky when it comes to genetics. Many of my friends weren't so lucky.

These days, I might make an old fashioned or 2 before heading to bed and that's where I leave it.

Does Pabst Blue Ribbon or Milwaukee’s Best count?

Maybe @Xerobull bought it in Utah?

Pretty much this...and still into my adult days. If I'm camping or at the beach, I can still put away an impressive amount as long as I mix in some water and food.
