We are barely 90 days in. Americans have the attention span of a gnat. In 3 years, everyone will have forgotten this.
That said, everything Trump does will be a constitutional crisis to the democrats. Partisan outrage will continue.

I will say if Democrats continue to think topics like Garcia is the biggest problems this country has, Republicans will be on a roll for awhile. The only people who care about Garcia are the never Trumpers.

Your short sightedness will never cease to amaze me. It's not about Garcia, the individual. And, yeah, the country has a problem with attention...but A LOT of this will not be forgotten. The continued destrucion of our life, liberty, and happiness under this administration will be a constant reminder.

Do you have a problem with the patriot act violating our civil liberties? Or is that a red herring?
The government has no right to keep secret files on its citizens but yet here we are, 20 years later

Ok. My point is you think the argument about Garcia is about him and not about the unconstitutional acts this administration continues to perform. I do have a problem with the Patriot Act and with government surveliance. That doesn't mean I can't also have a problem with the removal of due process and a president who is actively looking for ways to deport actual natural born citizens...or the obliteration of our economy...or the eroding of civil rights...or the attacks on universities...or the attacks on freedom of the press...or the freedom from religion...

    Shall I go on?

Hes been utterly embarrassed by China on the global stage. China would know how weak of a individual he is and move on Taiwan ASAP.

If youre China do you think for a second Trump defends Taiwan or sanctions you over Taiwan? He just got exposed for how utterly weak he is. Russia knows they just need to wait out and they'll get a better deal.

    What a utter embarrassment

I don't think China is ready to move in on Taiwan yet, nothing before 2027 at the earliest is my guess, 2035 is another very likely time in the future.

Remember in this very same section is his cultists @raining threes @El_Conquistador claimed Trump would never back down and he has nothing to lose. They swore China would back down first cuz they'll see how "alpha" trump is lol.

It's just sad how delusional his cultists are

ND they run cover for him 24/7. They went from, "he'll never back down! He's so alpha!" to "A good leader knows when to capitulate! He's a genius for backing down" lol.

I just cant help but laugh how brainwash half of America is

I would wager you any sum of money they do it before 2028. Why in the world would they wait till 2035 and risk another admin? Trump has zero tolerance for pain. He'll capitulate in seconds to China over Taiwan.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is set to have its worst April since 1932 after losing almost 1,000 points on Monday, Dow Jones Market Data shows. Similarly, the S&P 500 has had its worst performance since inauguration day for any new president dating to 1928, Bespoke Investment Group has found.

The economy is not obliterated. Us citizens are not going to be sent to the foreign gloss.

Everything else has been happening for decades

America needs more allies in the Pacific than just the Philippines. We're severely underestimating the Asian century and China is making deeper inroads to Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and elsewhere through Brick and Road.

When Biden flew to Vietnam and our press made a big deal about it, he had like a 100m in investment deals to offer as sweetener. Huawei alone dumped more than twice as much for that year.

China taking over Taiwan will spook that momentum with its neighbors, so it'll either be from not having the choice to decide when (some manufactured crisis or independence declaration [unlikely]) or the US losing something so critical that they can't manage their current commitments.

I still think America has to show up for 2027 even if no one is serious about fighting a war over it. That also means we need to have smart people who know how to maximize leverage over thinking hard power is the only answer.

Weird. Sounds awfully familiar. Something like “The Patriot Act won’t affect the average person.”

While that has been in effect for decades now, that doesn’t change the fact that why is happening today is right or just or not worthy of extreme concern. When the actual president wants to look at how they can send citizens to a prison in another country, it’s not a f***ing joke.

It's not a joking matter. I think Trump is extremely stupid for saying that.

That said, we are not sending citizens to foreign countries to be imprisoned.

Not much to discuss or to get outraged over

I think most people are not that invested in how the stock market fares. Or else, his supporters would already be up in arms.

They'll probably have to personally feel the pain in things like housing, cost of living, and employment.
