Alright, I'm no lover of GOP backed bills in general but this is a voter ID law. I don't support it and it has no way of passing the Senate, also affects everyone not just women. This is why I don't **** with social media...too much misinformation. Appreciate the link...
while Republican lamakers have been too afraid to hold town hall meeting with their constituents, Bernie Sanders, AOC visit red states to corral anti-Trump resistance, and drawing large crowds in red states such as Utah, Nebraska and Idaho. in recent days, they visited red districts in Calif, Folsom, Bakersfield, Riverside, where Trump had won by more than 10%; they also drew large crowds there Folsom Bakersfield
I didn't look into it, but my assumption has been the issues around name changes which primarily affects women getting married or divorced.
@Nook why does the new right hate science so much? I sincerely dont get the point of destroying scientific institutions
There seems to be a common thread in almost all of the Trump administration's move. That is, they're breaking down elements of institutions set up for the "public good" that do not generate a profit, including humanitarian funding. Then, I assume a lot of these institutions will someday be replaced with private corporations that can make a tidy sum off the backs of taxpayers. And we can guess which companies will get chosen. All this profit-mongering is like watching a government run by Ferengis from Star Trek.
Yup, exactly like this. But I'd bet they're after much bigger fish, and this will end up being a tiny drop in a much more lucrative bucket.
MAGA, led by a guy living in a delusional state of reality. Hundreds of thousands protesting against him around the country, and his poll numbers showing majority disapproval rating, and he posts this crap ... LOL, what a psycho Trump is. The orange faced red tie guy in the giant suit is such a clown.
You're part right. They announced they would expand production at their Spartanburg plant by up to 80k cars. They make about 400k per year. https://www.cbtnews.com/bmw-eyes-sp...fset-tariffs-boost-u-s-output-by-80000-units/ They didn't say how much to would cost, but $2 billion is probably unreasonably high, imo. As for social security, I get the argument for investing. The counter-argument is that investment involves risk and given that it is a social safety net, it probably isn't appropriate to expose everyone to investment risk automatically or facilitate doing so without making sure the participants really understand what they're betting. There are private alternatives.
Give taxpayers 2 or 3 options for say mutual funds to invest in, with lesser but varying degrees of risk.
