Waltzing Rhinos update Waltzing Rhinos TM formula = mass (weight / height) divided by short shuttle time Examined 48 offensive tackles between 1997 - 2024 that made All-Pro 1st or 2nd team 10 have insufficient data (38 remaining) 19 (of 38) scored 10.5 or higher 10 (of 38) only scored 10 or higher So 29/38 scored 10 or higher (76%) Also, 19/38 = 10.5 or higher (50%) Examined 62 IOL between 1997 - 2024 All-Pro 1st or 2nd team 6 have insufficient data (56 remaining) 28 (of 56) scored 10.5 or higher 12 (of 56) scored 10 or higher So 40/56 = 10 or higher (71%) Also, 28/56 = 10.5 or higher (50%) Up next....this year's draft class (after I can get Pro Day data)
This is what I've been saying about the Caserio/Caley/Popovich/Schlipinski group, they're all from the John Carroll or Pats system, so they should know exactly the types of players they want to add to this offense. As opposed to drafting for a Kelly, then a Pep, followed by Slowik type offenses. There's no wonder that those offenses weren't successful, there was no continuity.
I am hoping that the Texans have gotten their house in order when it comes to protecting CJ so far this offseason. We are in Super Bowl or Bust type territory for the next couple of seasons. I think, for next year, a line of Cam Robinson - Donovan Jackson - Jarrett Patterson - Tytus Howard - Trent Brown would provide a marked improvement from last season. Blake Fisher, Juice Scuggs, Laken Tomlinson & Ed Ingram supply the depth. I'd like to see a project guy stashed on the practice squad to be ready to be the swing tackle in 2026. I think theyll have ammo to go get a franchise type LT in the 2026 draft but Im expecting Fisher and Howard to be the OTs going into that season.
Where do you believe our OL ranks in the NFL before the draft? PFF ranked us 31 and that was before we traded Tunsil. I'm inclined to believe that we're in the 30-32 range. Can we get to the Super Bowl with this OL?
How much stock do you put into PFF Rankings? Pretty sure they said Bullock really sucked at coverage. They're kind of all over the place. Of course we need more OL help/bodies.
I use PFF as a resource but I don't take anything they say as gospel. I think their #31 ranking sounds about right. Until I'm shown otherwise I think our OL is going to be terrible and I believe it's because we lack quality linemen. My hope is that Nick drafts two dudes that can start on day one.
I would be very happy if Nick traded down into the 2nd and drafted Ratledge and Milum as the 2 starting OG's as rookies. Never going to happen

All I ask is they start in a rotation and build up their time. I do expect them to be starters at some point in the season.

Jackson is my number one choice at 25 or with a trade back, but not too far back because I don't think Jackson will last long. I really want two linemen out of this draft
