I like this and never thought of this this way. Add 2 premium players.

    I would be just as happy trading 1-26, 3-89,5- 160 and a 2026 2nd for Golden

    Then drafting Mukuba at 2-58.

You would keep your 2026 1st add a true difference maker in Golden

Mukuba is on the same level Emmuwori IMHO. He's got great instincts, is a hitter, runs in the 4.4's and can play in the slot too.

I dont think Blue makes it to the 5th, but there's other differnce makers that can be drafted there, this is a deep RB draft.

Great job, you put a lot of thought into this.

I think my hope for Bech at 89 is going away. With more people recognizing his special skill at the WR position with good hands paired with outstanding blocking skills and being young, the upside is just too much to not rise up everyone's draft order.

The other guy I am hoping for in the 4th round (Phillips) is also young and full of potential, but has short arms so is not moving. Plus there are many DTs ranked just above him who may have a lower ceiling, but definitely a higher floor. I want us to use Autrey and his versatility inside and out while we bring Phillips along and try to point him towards his ceiling. Find some successful short armed, but strong IDL that have developed techniques that work. He also has to learn about the special protections for the center in the NFL game since he's used to the 0 tech in college.

There's only room for 24 picks before ours (assuming we don't trade), so anyone moving up before then means one that was there is moving down. Perhaps Egbuka WILL be there at 25 after all. Perhaps Grant falls and is there at 58. The boards are so dynamic and the actual draft has so many surprises. Maybe Booker falls enough we can trade up without using up too much draft capitol?

    There's just too many questions.

    • Texans' vistits at the combine via Walterfootball. Not a comprehensive list, probably, and usually doesn't mean anything, but if you're starved for info...

      [IMG] Houston Texans
    • Tyler Booker, Offensive Guard, Alabama (COM)
    • Omarion Hampton, Running Back, North Carolina (COM)
    • Andrew Mukuba, Safety, Texas (COM)

I'm not the first to notice, but I'm paying attention now. In the event we have already selected a primary WR weapon and we're looking for a high risk high ceiling type on day 3, Isaiah Neyor WR Nebraska looks like the guy. He's available because he suffered an ACL in 22 and moved schools every year. He might be available as a UDFA, but he might be worth one of our 7th round Picks.

If we trade into the 6th, we might risk a pick on Jaydon Blue as a Hybrid RB/WR due to his speed.

I'm also a little more comfortable with a lower ceiling guy like Donovan Edwards as a relief RB capable of tough positive yards on early downs, but lacking the speed for longer runs. Experience at Michigan is a plus.
I'm thinking of the tandem of him and Mixon working to keep 3rd down conversions more likely. It's a backup plan to a return to high impact performance by Pierce under the new Offense. Perhaps use a 7th rather than risk him going UDFA with someone else.

How did Neyor look this year?

I'm looking for a homerun hitting RB to compliment Mixon. I'm not against adding Edwards as a 4th RB ST's guy and hopefully he gets healthy. But that means the end of Dare on Kirby if they draft and keep 2 RB's.
