You don't need to remove followers to stay off of social media, you could temporarily deactivate your account, mute stories and posts, delete the app on your phone, or just practice self control. Removing followers but keeping his account doesn't do a whole lot, its just something dramatic attention seeking people do, it literally serves no purpose.
