Jesus hated greed - and while he did not say that it was impossible for someone wealthy to find salvation, he said it was very difficult. Also - many of the negative figures discussed in the New Testament are wealthy, and the few positive wealthy figures gave up their wealth. Early Christianity survived because of women - and that it was very progressive for the time for women and families....... then it became a tool for man to enslave and profit off the very people it was meant to protect.
