Yea with how bad the offense has been the fact he hasn’t started a game in 11 days is crazy Dana needs to trade him and lets move on cause it’s obvious Espada has no interest in playing him
An Astros fan was relocated to different seats after ripping a baseball out of Mike Trout’s glove **** you NY, that's not what happened. You needed a little b****child (who you turned into a celebrity) to steal a HR in order to beat the Orioles. We remember.
Pena looked so good during spring training. He still can't lay off those breaking balls to the outside.
Jake has a .690 OPS I mean next to some teammates stats it might look ok But let’s not fool ourselves into thinking he is a different hitter. He is what he is, a great fielder with a weak arm and a well below average hitter
Jake hitting 8/9th is far from the problem with the Astros offense...and he's a plus on the defense. Tell the middle of the order to hit, for ****'s sake.
Oh I agree he isn’t “the problem” But it’s crazy that with the team not hitting Chas sits 12 days in a row while Jake plays every day. Dubon has multiple starts during this time and has done absolutely nothing Dezenzo needs to go play everyday at SL and we need to trade Chas for pen help or prospects, then go find a legit CF that can hit
A hitting coach isn't going to make you better at recognizing pitches. I really wonder if there is some type of simulator that they could see at a million sliders off the plate.
How many hitting coaches has Altuve had? How many told him not to swing at the ****ing outside slider? How many outside sliders does Altuve continue to swing at? Stopping that stuff is not what hitting coaches do.
How many hitting coaches do you think the Stros have had in the past 40 years? Did they ever solve anything?
Trout did a cool thing, but the fan is somewhat full of s*** His son wasn't in danger after the ball landed. Was his son vulnerable while he was swiping in Trout's glove?? That said, I'm not mad at him. Fans should interfere with balls *in the stands* to help their team. This was the antithesis of the pansies who cleared the runway for Uribe to catch a foul ball during the 2005 WS. That foolishness wouldn't happen in Chicago (see Bartman -- a guy who actually hurt his team by interfering).
So far, Meyers is the "legit CF can hit" Smith has to play RF according to yall, until he sucks so much that Dezenzo has to play RF, according to yall, until he gets sent down and now Chas has to play RF LF is LF and we're ****ed defensively there: Altuve/Yordan/Whoever
I disagree. I coach, obviously to a lesser degree, these pro "hitters" look lost and have no approach.
