Honestly, after watching Adams role in dismantling the Thunder last night I want him to be a Rocket for at least the next 3 years. If we don't sign a STUD in the offseason but instead opt to stay with the kids and develop from within it is ESSENTIAL Adams is a Rocket. Nfal'y Dante isn't going to cut it, or any other draft pick. There is only one Steven Adams! Which brings me to my next question, Would 3 years at $20M a year do it? I don't care that he won't play back to backs any longer. He is awesome. What is a realistic amount to keep?
Stuck between a Rock and a hard place.... he is the thing in the middle!! lol. unsung hero of this Rockets team.
So, when did we start calling these guys traditional bigs: Horford, Reid, Chet, Porzingis, Lopez? All five are renowned spacers on offense —the definition of “modern” spacing bigs. it’s like calling Sengun and Jabari traditional double big, when Jabari is a modern big also, those CLE and OKC net ratings are not really statistically significant versus the Team’s overall net. Arguments can be made that Mobley and JJJ can play the spacing big role, too. And they both definitely count as modern bigs wrt perimeter defense … meaning they are switchable for modern needs that traditional big eras didn’t have to worry about as much..
