I have changed my vote to no, because of his ankle injury.

I never wanted to give up Alpi, Jalen, Amen, Jabari and Tari for him. Cam, Reed, two first round picks and FVV for him was my suggestion.

We just clinched the number 2 seed in a stacked Western Conference. Why are we talking about the offseason?

I would much rather focus on the playoffs. But, since this is a discussion- while I don't want to overreact to the playoffs, if we got swept in the first round, I would be more inclined to want to make a bigger change (let FVV walk, be more aggressive in exploring trades, etc). If we make it to the WCF, or even if we lose a close, competitive second round matchup, then I really wouldn't want to mess with too much. Our guys are still so young and improving.

As much as I don't like Durant, I'm not completely opposed to trading for him. But as soon as the reality comes in for what it would likely take, it seems like an easy, no-brainer no to me

We will, FVV + picks. Thats the only move we'll make. We need to get rid of FVV+we need scoring. Phx needs to get rid of Durant, nobody (contenders) wants him for 50m + one more year. So yea that will happen. Our smallball lineup with KD as a C will be scary tho

I would be ok with FVV and the 27th pick because we still have the BK swap in 27. Both picks for KD would be a ridiculous overpay though.

Ya i would pass on that. Giving them 27 makes it easier for them to rebuild and lowers value of the 29 pick.

Until I see how this group performs in the playoffs, I don't see where Durant does anything for us. He's poor defensively and, at this point in his career, a constant injury waiting to happen. I think this core, with some tweaks to the depth of the roster, can be the team. If they don't think Reed is able to be that 3pt scorer, then that's what I'd go after. I think we do have a super star in Amen and 2 next tier stars in Jalen and Alpi...with Jabari being a fantastic 6th man.

I just think there is somthing potentially great here and I don't think it needs someone like KD or Booker. I don't think either of them would've made up the difference between us and OKC this season.

Naw…KD is viable, but I think the current team needs to stay together.

If anything, keep that Suns pick and draft the best available Center to keep the double big strategy alive if Adams leaves.

Gonna need that type of lineup playing against Wemby and OKC for years to come.

That's too much speculation for me. The Mavs could give them a package for KD that helps them rebuild and so could other teams. We have a championship level team minus a legit closer/shooter/scorer. I'm not passing that up because a pick 2 years from now might make a pick 4 years from now worse.

Yes they do. They can trade Washington, Lively, Christie, and picks. That's 3 young rotation players and picks to make another move.

They have no picks to trade, and if they do that our 29 mavs pick is absolute gold.

They can trade some of their future first and they got the Lakers 29 first round pick in the Luka trade.

That 29 Mavs pick is probably great even if they don't trade those guys. They have no young stars.
