If there are even two numbers on a text chat that I don't recognize / have in my contacts, I just leave from the jump. Sometimes I leave a thread where I know everyone too, but my friends know that I hate group chats.
It's just an elaborate scam. They are going to ask for you to cashapp some money for the easter dinner. And for your social.

Someone in the chat group started doing these long prayer texts so I deleted and blocked it about a week ago. Yesterday, out of nowhere, the daughter of the bro who is putting on the party called me to confirm that I was going. I thought it was the wrong number at first so I screwed up my chance to mess with her, and when I realized who it was, I told her the truth that I was a rando add and that I had considered coming anyway but that I'll be out of town Sunday. We laughed and promised to keep in touch, ta-ta, darling. Waiting on the next rando chat group.
