I'm definitely no fan of Mark Cuban. Why is it hard to believe he would not have traded Luka to the Lakers for scraps?

From a business standpoint, it was complete suicide.......I am surprised they are still running something within the NBA.

I have the Dallas Leadership (FO and Owners) as fools for thinking that the team can be a contender going forward. Davis is 32 and not and Iron Man. Irving is 33 and not an Iron Man. Klay is 35 and on the downside of his career. Unless they get an extreme amount of Luck in the 2025 Draft, they don't have much upside.
Doncic to LA was an NBA move. Moving superstars like Doncic to the Lakers makes the league stronger. The Mavericks have to play the game and Nico Harrison has to take the blame. They'll get rewarded for it eventually or they were already rewarded and had to pay up by letting go of Doncic. It would have been like Ronaldo or Messi starting their careers at a club like PSG and not moving on to teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona because of league rules. Eventually, for the good of the game, those superstars need to move on to those Spanish giants.
That is a pretty decent supporting cast to a superstar in his prime. They are bit old, but next to Luka they are going to be a problem this year. And then they will let the old players go and build around Luka. Oh wait I felt bad for Luka during that tribute video. It was really funny hearing the Fire Nico chants
