Mavericks, Grizzlies, and the Clippers. I know the Clippers have been hot, but Harden in the playoffs could be trash, and Kawhi ain't the same anymore. Everyone else is tough. Nuggets have Jokic, the Warriors have the refs and magnet-ball, and the Wolves have Edwards.
literally my thoughts and they are based on years of playoff experience with the ones we want to avoid
Kawhi has been playing great recently. That Clipper team is really formidable right now. I don't want to play the Clippers. I'd rather the Wolves or even the Warriors.
Kawhi is one of my favorite players... I don't want to say it. But I'll repeat that I am not afraid of playoff Harden against Amen. Let Kawhi try to go off against Brooks. Good luck.
These are the only teams that can end up as the 7th seed, and it's a complete toss-up at this time. Since the Rockets play 3 of them (LAC, LAL, DEN) in their last 3 games, they can actually manipulate the probability... but I hope they don't do any of that crap. LAL DEN MEM LAC GSW MIN I prefer MEM.
The Clippers have lost every game this season to the Rockets, by an average of 13+ points, the games have not been close. The Clippers are struggling tonight against a tanking Spurs team, they are not going anywhere. Steph and Kerr in the playoffs are not someone you want to see, when will you guys learn.
Can the Lakers fall to 7th? I guess. But, unlikely. They're beating the Mavs and Blazers. Maybe the Rockets if they decide to rest some players.
We played the Clippers all 3 games without their best player. Clippers without Kawhi are pretty good (although struggling against the Spurs). Clippers with Kawhi have been really good lately.
Since we won't know our opponent until the play-in tournament, I was worried there wasn't the usual time to game plan for the other team, but looking at the schedule, it looks like the 7 vs 8 game to determine the 7th seed, will be the first game on April 15th and playoffs start the 19th, so at least that'll be 3 days versus the last play-in game to determine the 8th seed is on April 18th, which means you would only have a day to prepare (which is ridiculous btw). Seems unfair that being the top 2 seed is somehow at a disadvantage in not knowing who you're going to be playing. Meanwhile the other seeds have over a week to gameplan and prepare and both be rusty, while whoever comes out of the play-in will have just played an intense playoff-style game while the top 2 seeds have had a long layoff, which factors into game 1. Just my 2 cents.
Looks like a cocktail of Wolves-Nuggets-Grizzlies. 2 Fired Situations and 1 Underwhelming Team. I could see Chris Finch being canned in the future. The others are somehow winning and Dallas and Sacramento might not make it. Or you could swap one of them with the above.
Who gives a f***, we are playing with house money. All we wanted this year was to qualify for one of those play-in spots. Just going to enjoy the ride and watch the Rockets in the playoffs after missing the last 4 years. We might even get another top 5 pick.
Top 4.....5th pick is reserved for whoever falls out of the 3 Worst records normally.....or the 4th worst record.
I posted in 2023 about a dream I had that Jalen would end the Warriors dynasty. Selfishly, that makes me want the Warriors. It wouldn't be as easy as we beat them last game of course, but I think we would wear those old geezers the F out.
I find myself in a weird contradiction. I hope we can avoid Warriors because of their experience and because they'll get calls. But the little boy in my heart secretly wants them prolly because out of all the teams I want to beat them the most.
I know people hate this option but we could break them and think of what that would do for our guys. Riding a high like that. Our guys just need confidence. They have the heart.
nah lakers are pretenders. No defense. Weak bench. Too reliant on 2 players. They can’t sustain 7 game series
