Had to b b****in by Murray and/or Jokic...

otherwise theyd jus ride out the season and make changes in the offseason...

this jus makes the org look dysfunctional....

which i mean if u got players dictating this stuff - then ya are...

All of these coach firings going into the playoffs is just straight wild. Makes no sense. Denver's biggest problem is that they have no defense and that's the GM's fault.

Player's have gotten very lazy in the NBA. It's all about hookah bars and after parties. All of the NBA needs a reshaping from a discipline and optics perspective. Westbrook is the kiss of death for every aging franchise. Trade him to any team that is one year away from a rebuild. I guess he's going to Golden State next season, lol.

Not even that, Jamal Murray never took the step to becoming a star.......and they never sort of gone thru the draft and drafted a legit 3rd All Star. Or 2nd All Star.

It is wasting Joker's career and his ill placed loyalty.

Aaron Gordon only playing 48 games didn't help. The whole season watching the team, I felt like not having a defense was slowly exhausting all of the players. They could put up 135 points and still struggle to close the game in the 4th quarter. That stuff takes a toll on a team in 82 games.

Malone should have gone to 2 finals, barring a Murray injury, imo. Great coach. I imagine he will go to a team like Memphis and make them a contender immediately. In fact, if I was Memphis, I'd call him right away just for the chance of playing the Nuggets in the playoffs.

For sure, I think it's the Nico Harrison effect, now people responsible thinking, why wait until offseason, we can fire anyone or trade anyone mid season or near the Playoffs.

The NBA is screwed but teams like the Rockets are benefitting from the chaos of other teams.

I don't think it's Malone's fault that the Nuggets has one of the worse benches in the NBA. After winning their ring they let Bruce Brown walk for nothing and then the next year they let KCP walk for nothing.

It's the new dynamic of this 1st and 2nd apron stuff. GMs have to be a lot smarter how they are going to maneuver around those aprons.

Imagine if he signed with another west team as a lead assistant before the playoffs. Would be the ultimate FU move to the front office.

Yeah, I think Detroit, Boston and Houston don't play the after-hours games. Heavy discipline. That was the exact mentality that helped Monty change the culture with the Suns.

He wasn't hard on Jokic for what? The 30/13/10 in 37 mpg on 66% TS isn't enough?

In this video, Michael Malone sounds like a coach who understood what was happening and he refused to be silent about it. He realized some guys weren't listening anymore and he wasn't going to have it. He demanded a full commitment to being "all-in" about winning, or else!

In this case, the "or else" was him being fired.

it's tough out in the wild west. if memphis or denver were in the leastern conference, they'd be the 3rd seed most likely and no one would have been fired.

Wasting the only players career in this era that's worth watching.

I think they fired the GM for the roster mismanagement and Malone for losing the locker room, not for the team's record this season.

I would refuse to play if I were on the Nuggets, especially as Jokic if they didn’t even check with me on this decision. And to tell the team hey I did this because we need change and want to turn things around right now (so sparking a fire with a losing streak) is terrible management and feels like a hail mary. Ridiculous.
