I'd love to see the Rockets bring Malone in as a top assistant.

Are there any rules preventing another team from hiring him right away?

Do Ime and Malone have a relationship? I'd love to bring him as an advisor.

Clutchfans: But all they get is FVV, Cam and Reed, plus our draft capital, and they will like it. Lol.

I swear, I'm going to be pissed if OKC cashes in and ends up with Jokic.

Nuggets have been in a tailspin that started with Westbrook's blunder at the end of the T-Wolves game. This coincides with the latest right hammy injury for Murray.

Firing Malone means Jokic must be not happy with him. Or perhaps it isn't limited to Jokic.

They also fired Calvin Booth so this is a completely house cleaning the says to me they are giving up on the season.

It's weird to waive the white flag when you have a player like Jokic. Or perhaps they are of the @SamFisher mindset regarding coaches and since they have Jokic, who really cares who is on the bench coaching the team, Jokic is the one that will carry them to victory anyways.

Knicks should be all over this. Hometown guy, better coach than Thibs at this moment and won’t run that team into the ground.

We have more to trade than okc does. Assuming they won’t include chet (we wouldn’t include amen), a package like jalen/sengun/all picks for jokic/braun is more valuable than anything okc can do. They have more volume but out assets are way higher quality

Guys, I'm 99% sure the Nuggets have no intention of rebuilding. Jokic won't be on the market because trading him would be like moving their franchise to Siberia.

Jokic will finish his career in Denver.

Agreed. Hard to believe that Jokic will care as deeply. Seems to be a business guy despite having a great relationship with Mike.

I think Malone is a very good coach and he was instrumental (obviously with Jokic) in building their unselfish culture.

There is no way he was fired without the Nuggets having the tacit approval of Jokic. Within a few hours, we'll know more.

Calvin Booth was junk. They had a terrible offseason last summer.

Agreed on Calvin. They do have some tough decisions to make this summer. They probably need to extend Braun and look into moving MPJ, Gordon, or Murray for more reliable players. They do have to find a way to be able to build a team while paying supermax to Jokic. Over the past few season they've lost some really good role players and they have not done a good job replacing them.
