The possession before was the real killer, though

Hmmm. I thought I might have overreacted so I was just watching the begging of the second half. Florida decided to come out aggressive and was pushing and throwing elbows. They got called for 5 early fouls. Then got a bench tech. Houston had zero fouls and a 10 point lead 3 minutes into the second half.

Then Houston got 6 fouls in 3.5 minutes that completely changed the game. It was a bunch of ticky tacky bs. It was an obvious attempt to even things out. Florida kept pushing and shoving but they completely stopped calling fouls on them. By the 8:30 mark Houston has 10 fouls to their 7.

Now Houston’s offense was dogshit, but there was more than enough bad officiating to cost them 3 points.

That was awful but it was really death by a thousand cuts.

The final 2 minutes was hot garbage but we did enough wrong to put ourselves in that spot over the course of the whole game.

Im just so sick for LJ and jwan.

This was the sinking feeling I had for y'all. The defensive intensity required to quiet Florida and prevent Clayton from scoring any points had to be met with, at least, average shot making. The fact that UH was only winning by three at halftime was a bad omen.

True that, but when you're up 12 points in the 2nd half of a college game (20 points in the NBA?), and you lose that kind of a lead, not one particular play lost you the game.

The refs boosted the momentum of the game in favor of the Gators with that no-call on goaltending.
And the Coogs choked. I feel proud and bitter at the same time of this group of overachieving chokers.

So that flight I had in Baltimore this morning?

It's to Orlando. Plane full of UF fans.

Some are even connecting from San Antonio.

    Lord give me patience.

Generally speaking people have been very kind and respectful.

UH is not a blue blood, but I think everyone knows that program is amongst a very select group.

Don't think I can watch the replay of the last second ever again. I have been off social media, don't want to see the celebration. TV was turned off immediately. :(

I understand that, but isn't it possible we could get the first pick from the Suns?

Unfortunately, the replay will be mentioned for decades.

    Blooper material

Well that sucked. I did have flashbacks when I saw our guys sitting on the court in shock after the game. Just like in 83.

The offense went back to the offense of the last few years - just having to work SO HARD for every basket. Florida was a beaten team in the 1st half. Even the announcers were saying so. But we let them hang around because of all the missed shots. They made adjustments at halftime and....that's all she wrote.

Someone else said the Florida players seemed shocked at the end. That's the part that hurts the most. This game should have been over at halftime. We should have been up by 15-20 points.

Next season comes down to who is coming back

From what Tugler said in some post game interview, it sounds like he and Sharp are coming back. I dont think Sharp is a realistic nba prospect but i do think Tugler is draftable.

Who knows about Milos. I think he could be a 2nd rounder but maybe there is more upside in coming back with NIL and maybe raise your profile some more. I dont think Sampson would give the keys to a freshman pg.

    Arceneaux probably comes back?

So potentially we are looking at something like

    Tugler
    Cenac
    Sharp
    Harwell
    Milos ?

Pretty beefy. Not saying we are going undefeated, but we might go undefeated.

NGL. Haven’t felt this bad about losing a game since game 7 in 18.

it just feels like if not now then when. Damn.
