Cam didn't play today either, and hasn't played enough if the Astros are trying to incorporate him. Dubon should definitely not be getting any consistent run over Cam or Chas. Jake is playing decent (and his OPS is higher than Chas, my bad on every OF being worse), so no real problem there by Meyers getting GP.
*sigh* Season 3 of The Downturn going as expected. The real opp was getting a good return for Tucker and Bregman at the beginning of Season 2 of The Downturn, but we're stuck with late to the game Dana and got peanuts. The team doesn't have players to put them over the top outside of Alvarez and Altuve. Considering how much the other marquee teams have beefed up, decisions need to be made. Hoping for another year of a weak division to squeak into the playoffs isn't a viable plan.
This is what happens when your cares more about the bottom line than winning. 2 players that were on your team last season we players of the week in both leagues. Cheap-ass Crane.
Most of last year. But the last 1/3 or so he wasn’t good. Now he starts off bad. It’s early but I’m not confident in him.
So many Hard Throwers in the Minors throwing 99 mph, the Astros have 91 - 93 mid control. Come on. Rafael Montero being consistent won't last either. He is a 5.00 era pitcher.
Joe Espada reminds me of Michael Scott of The Office totally doesn't have any self awareness or know personnel.
Joe Espada bringing in Cam Smith Mom, feels they emasculated Cam in front of Men in the Locker Room it was too awkward when Cam started crying. Weird Vibe from the Team since Opening Day.
Wasted performance for Wesniski and only 2 friggin hits all night and one is a homer...........when were bad, we are REALLY bad. Go ahead and cut Scott already and I think they need to send Cam S down so he can play every day, use him every day or send him down. Dubon is hitting .091, WTF.......meanwhile King Tuck is lighting it up and Bregman is hitting .333 Our offense is just not good, IMO our starting pitching has been really good but if you can't score you can't win
SP has been great but my biggest fear coming in was lack of pitching depth and we are about to find out Pen isn’t great but if Yordan and Yainer were hitting we wouldn’t notice it so much 4-6 getting nothing from those two is not bad
Yeah if Walker Yordan and Yainer don’t hit extremely well then this team was cooked anyway. It’s bummer to start out under .500 but I’m very encouraged by the pitching.
I think that disqualifying your closer because he threw 2 innings the day before is a way to lose games.
There's no rhyme or reason to Espada's lineups. He's either listening to Dusty or it's random. This can't continue.
