A sales tax is still not fair to the poor. The rich still come out ahead. Its the tax loopholes that the rich find because their people know how took take advantage of the system. Corporations also. not paying taxes on ) $2 Billion in revenue is criminal. The problem is the rich/Corporations don’t want to pay taxes at all. They want to leave that to the working “suckers” of this country. An tiered rate based on incomes above $1
Million dollars. If Billionaires actually paid 35-40 percent in taxes that would raise alot of revenue.

.. lol Harris wouldn't have tanked the stock market bcz of dumbass tariffs. Its just insane how blinded you are to the truth. No other person other than Trump would have tanked the markets. You can keep gas lighting others but none of what you say makes any sense at all

You are wasting your time with him. He's a troll and a bad one. Move on

Agreed it's not fair for the poor, they're not paying any taxes. (There would be no taxes on food, water etc...) You say the rich aren't paying taxes (Not true IMHO) but if you're correct the middle class are paying all of the taxes? Is that fair? With a national sales tax the middle class wouldn't be getting screwed and everybody would have skin in the game. It would raise more tax revenues and the poor would still get tax breaks like the child tax credit etc... to help offset their lack of income.

As far as corporations go, as long as they're providing workers in this country good paying jobs the taxes that workers pay from those jobs will help raise tax revenue and it doesn't bother me if corporations get tax breaks. They're paying somewhere around 20% right now and if lowering their tax rates down to say 15% brought home good paying jobs then I would be on board with that.

Like I've asked how much do you want the rich to pay in taxes? 60%, 70%, 80%? Fact is there's no way to make this equal for everybody. Some accomplish more than others and deserve to reap the rewards of the fruits of their labor.

Lmao DOGE will be saving pennies, so you just admitted that Doge's work is useless. If you take out covid from the equation he still raised it higher than Biden.

No, he didnt reluctantly agree, dont rewrite history, he negotiated and made it work, you think it was simply republican policies that made that surplus LOL, no just do a little bit of research. Republicans did okay with I guess restrained spending but thats it, they added nothing else but obstruction.

Just showing how out of touch you are with REAL PEOPLE. DO YOU THINK THAT MANY PEOPEL OVER 65 DONT LIKE USIGN THE PHONE TO ASK ABOUT THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY. PLEASE USE YOUR HEAD.

These morons have the audacity to claim DOGE is tackling fraud but one of the first things DOGE did was eliminate the cfpb and all consumer protections from corporate fraud lol.

Consumers have less protections today from fraud than at any point in the past 20 years

    Delusional.
Trickle down HAS NEVER WORKED. Reagan’s policies proved that. Why is it that when Democrats are in power, the Economy roars/recovers after a Republican gives tax cuts to the rich which always leads to some kind of recession? Same pattern since Reagan.

MAGA voters and policy is like oil/water...meanwhile they just keep repeating the same talking points they're getting from Fox News and X.

"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."

DOGE isn't saving pennies, they are costing us hundreds of billions in the short term by destroying the IRS and trillions in the long term by destroying America's science & technology base, as weall as rule of law.

DOGE saves you pennies on gasoline by setting your car on fire.

This isn't trickle down, this is everybody has skin in the game. (National sales tax.)

Again I'll ask you, how much would the rich have to pay in taxes to make you happy, 70/80%. Seems like you want socialism. Another form of govt that has proven not to work.

It's not even consumer protections, it's worker protections too. I remember that lying orange man pretending to be pro union during his campaigning. That was such a load of BS, and the workers should have known he was lying.

Trump and Musk are setting the example’: how companies are becoming emboldened to be more anti-union

Trump's actions have “demonstrated that his rhetoric about being pro-worker and pro-union was just that: pure rhetoric. This is an administration that is pushing the limits on how far you can go to destroy the labor movement and people’s labor standards.”

Trump’s anti-union and anti-worker actions have been piling up. He rescinded the $17.75-an-hour minimum wage that federal contractors must pay their workers. He issued an order to kill the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, which seeks to settle potentially disastrous labor disputes. He nominated a management-side lawyer, Crystal Carey, to be the NLRB’s general counsel; her law firm represents anti-union employers, including Amazon, SpaceX and Tesla. Even the Teamsters’ president, Sean O’Brien, who has sought good relations with Trump, condemned that appointment, saying: “Carey has spent her entire professional career backing Big Business to the detriment of working people … he wants to decimate labor unions.” (O’Brien did praise Trump’s choice of labor secretary, Lori Chavez-DeRemer.)

Beyond that, Trump has repeatedly insulted the nation’s 2 million federal workers, saying: “Many of them don’t work at all. Many of them never showed up to work.”

Doge is far from useless. They've saved money we dont have. USAID as an example.I dont believe they've gone far enough and I'm a middle class person.

I'm not rewriting history I lived through that part of history and remember it quite well. Obviously you didn't. How much do youwant the rich to pay in taxes? 70-80-90%? Do you believe in socialism.

I dont think Fox News suggested a national sales tax. Anything that puts less govt in my life I'm for. Was the border a Fox News creation?

The IRS should've been destroyed decades ago. What would make you want to have more of the IRS in your life? The Tax code should be very simple and straight forward. It's not because that's the way the politicians want thing to be run.

Science and technology? Space/Silicon Valley have never been stronger. Speaking of Space, Musk just help get astronauts off of the space station. While old school companies like Boeing that made politicians rich are the inept companies that got the astronauts stuck there to begin with.

Doge has done nothing to hurt space exploration or technology. They have cut out a bunch of govt bureaucrats out of the game that they've been stealing from for years.
