The Clayton kid does concern me a bit, but we have more players to throw at him than we did for Flag.

Cryer, Uzan, Sharp, Wilson are all pretty good on the ball defenders with a similar build. Even Arceneaux can stay in front of a lot of guards.

Against Duke and their size, we were a significant Tugler injury away from being blown out. Just a much tougher matchup because we simply dont have much depth at the forward position.

Florida is a great team but we aight. lil bro tech had them dead to rights. we can win.

Clayton might be harder to guard… maybe, perhaps — but he is 6” shorter than Flagg. He won’t effect the game defensively like Cooper can, and offensively he won’t rebound like Flagg either.

Every Coog can guard Clayton with at minimum decent effectiveness. However, Flagg’s height is a mismatch for most of the team.

I hope Tugler's ankle is good. He's going to be a big factor for us.

ESPN has absolutely zero stake in the ncaa tournament, therefore they do not cover it. And when they do, it's only glazing Duke for the casual observer.

The whole team stepped up but I’m not seeing enough praise for Emmanuel Sharpe. Hit timely shot after timely shot.

SEC bias. My 82 year old dad wants to bet me that Florida will win Monday night. I told him that UH will win by double digits. The only way the Cougs lose is if they have a letdown but I don’t see Coach Sampson letting that happen.

Exactly. ESPN doesn't cover sports they don't own the rights to. They ignored hockey for over a decade, are about to ignore baseball even more than they already do, and barely mention the NCAA tournament.

ESPN isn't going to give fans of those sports the validation they're seeking.

When Olajuwon is in the Alamodome it's bad news for the other team.

That not called kick ball changed the game. UH started getting more calls right after this

Now my "friends" are saying that UH has no chance against Florida. They never learn. UH had one of their worst overall games of the season and they beat the "best" team in the country. I think they will rebound against the Gators and take them by double digits.

    Giannis was hating hard

Why he gotta have a go at LJ's hariline like that? i, for one, think it makes him look mature and distinguished.

He did recognize dream tho. respect.

NCAA basketball fans represent a significant part of their viewing and reading audience. You would think they would want to put out stuff that would be of interest and compel additional viewers and readers to increase their ratings. Putting out lackluster and not well thought out top 10 lists does not compel me to partake in ESPN programming either on TV or on the internet.

They do get $11 per month from me so I can watch Cougar basketball games on ESPN+. Which reminds me it is time to cancel until needed next basketball season.

I am very happy for Houston and all of you guys that are crazy UH fans.

I don’t actually like college basketball at lunch so I only start following during the tournament, but I always pull for Houston. And to be honest, I turned the game off last night when I thought it was over.

I checked ESPN on the way to work and I was stunned.

They deserve a championship more than any team, in any sport that I can think of right now. Time to go get it tomorrow, for the city and for Sampson.

When they lost to Alabama and San Diego State in the same week and were 4-3, I thought Uzan might be a portal bust and that this would be a "rebuilding" season. Maybe they would shift to giving Miller more minutes to develop him quicker for next season. It would be a "win" just to qualify for the NCAA tournament. Now they are playing for the national championship and, either way, will have had one of the top three seasons in school history. It's been one of the best runs in Houston sports history, college or professional.

Someone here mentioned Sampson is very good with short rest adjustment.

Long rest doesn't really bode well for his team and I kind of saw that against Purdue and Tennessee.

So hopefully the trend continues against Florida on short rest.

this would be true if ESPN was an actual sports coverage network... it's more like WWE hype shows for their own products mixed with least coast bias
