Following its premiere at CinemaCon yesterday, Universal Pictures has shared the first trailer for Blumhouse’s “M3GAN 2.0” – the sequel to the 2023 thriller about a killer A.I. doll. Boasting a more outright comedic vibe this time out, the original creative team returns, including filmmaker Gerard Johnstone as director, along with James Wan and Jason Blum as producers. Two years have passed since M3GAN went rogue and embarked on a murderous rampage and was subsequently destroyed. M3GAN’s creator Gemma (Allison Williams) has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, Gemma’s niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now 14, has become a teenager and is rebelling against Gemma’s overprotective rules. At the same time, the underlying tech for M3GAN has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade lethal infiltration spy known as Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno). As Amelia’s self-awareness increases, she becomes decidedly less interested in taking orders from humans. Or in keeping them around. Gemma soon realizes that the only option is to resurrect M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) and upgrade her into something faster, stronger, and more lethal. As their paths collide, the original A.I b**** is about to meet her match. Other returning cast include Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps and they are joined by Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp and Jemaine Clement. The film opens in cinemas on June 27th. https://www.darkhorizons.com/first-trailer-m3gan-2-0/
not @tinman - he only watches horror genre movies of MEN sucking men. And he'll cry LOUDLY if that's not the case.
This looks pretty cheesy but at the same time looks pretty good....................will wait to stream but it's worth a watch for sure
The first one was pretty tongue in cheek but still leaned a tad more horror. The sequel looks like its going full cheese which looks like it could be fun....
