    You're looking at it wrong.

    1. Productive Markets
Channeling the pursuit of profit toward the nation's liberty and prosperity

Capitalism only works when the rules of the game align pursuit of profit with investment in domestic production and employment. If capital earns greater returns from speculating, offshoring, and monopolizing than from building, hiring, and innovating, public policy must respond.
    --
Our work also emphasizes the unique role of manufacturing in an advanced economy, which investors may not consider when pursuing their own profit—thus the need for public policy to bring their self-interest and the public interest into closer alignment. Our work on semiconductors, including the Guide to the Semiconductor Industry and advocacy for the CHIPS Act, provides a case study of the broader phenomenon.

    --

    Productive Markets | American Compass

It's a brilliant shift to finally give the middle class and aspiring poor some leverage and opportunities from an earnings standpoint. Not very "empathic" to decimate them so the rest of the world can prosper.

As far as tax cuts, the argument is that it generates more jobs, risk taking and innovation because it's the top 5% who have the capital to put it to use. I don't agree with it as the 1% are already too far ahead to be given more cuts, but through their lens it's about stimulating growth.

    :p

The wealthiest 1% of Americans own roughly 54% of the public equity markets, while the top 10% own about 93% of all stocks.

    Swing and a miss

you have no idea what your're parroting.

the 2 strongest US economies, post WW2, have been the Reagan/Clinton terms.

the common threads that bind these two economies together have been offshoring,
job growth, steady GDP growth and strong stock market.

you have no idea what you are talking about.

Trump 1.0 cut the tax for the top 1%, his admin ended in a net loss of ~~ 2 million jobs in his 4 years

Tariffs under Trump 1.0 did not bring well-paying mfg jobs to America; ditto for the tariffs under Hoover

stupidity is doing the same thing again expecting a different outcome

these did bring well-paying mfg jobs to the USA
    • Infrastructure bill signed by Biden
    • CHIPs Act signed by Biden
    • Inflation Reduction Act signed by Biden

    case in point,

iPhone, arguably, is the most expensive/highest quality mobile phone. they've been assembled in China over the past 2-3 decades.
Apple's arrangement w FoxConn operation helps China a lot; on the other end of the spectrum FoxConn's cost effective/efficient operation helps Apple make tons of profit.
your tribe leader would have you to believe that it is a one-way street, but it is not; you're ill-informed enough to parrot the same lie

It's funny, but as a 1%er on standard IQ tests, I took a newfangled social IQ test which said I was r****ded because I wouldn't lie to spare feelings. As a Christian, I believe:

    John 8:32
“And you shall know the truth. And the truth shall make you free.”

Also my dad rewarded honesty even more than he discouraged dishonesty. My father was the greatest man I've ever known.

the mess a Democrat will have to clean up in 2028 will be out of this world

like when a cleaner opens the bathroom and the toilet’s clogged, toilet paper and trash everywhere, sh*t smeared all over the walls, and pee all over the floor

offshoring help both economies, the host country and the offshoring country.

    it is a two-way street.

as for the quality of mfg, lets take a look at China, it runs the whole gamut, defending how much one is willing to pay.

    • Apple has been willing to pay top dollar for high quality.
      • its iphone, assembled in China, has been the most expensive / highest quality mobile phone
    • on the other end of the spectrum, that are entities that don't give a @#^& about quality
      • they get what they pay for

If you voted for trump, you voted for a liar. A pathological liar. A proven liar. As someone who cares about the truth, voting for trump was an egregious error on your part.

Please don’t proclaim to be a Christian and then insult someone a few minutes later. It isn’t glorying.

    +1

If you voted for Trump, you’re an *******. A complete and utter *******. You may be too proud to admit it, but in the deep dark of the middle of the night when you’re laying in bed, sleepless, you do admit it to yourself.

I genuinely don’t see how foreign nations can ever trust us again

Even if 4 years from now, u get competency and common sense back in the WH with a Democrat, this country is so braindead, how can they be sure there won’t be another buffoon republican regime that gets voted in in 2032 and it’s back to the chaos and stupidity?

they will divest from the United States and start looking elsewhere for some stability

we have alienated Canada and all our other allies

I'm fairly certain I've had this exact same conversation with you before.

    or another posted with "a"

What you (or they) chose to do was blindly post copy and pasted dem talking points and ignore the facts presented to you. There was also a flat out lie about semiconductor production not being in Asia which is where the majority of it is. So I don't know if you're here in good faith or to act as some kind of mouthpiece. The CHIPS act was not exclusive to dems, it was something the right had wanted for a while (Pass the CHIPS, Please | American Compass). The reason it was sped up was due to covid highlighting the sense of urgency in bringing manufacturing onshore and away from the Far East.

Cheap cheap cheap! Apple make for cheap! On one hand you hate the endless corporate profits and margins of a company like Apple. On the other hand, when they don't stand to benefit from cheap Chinese slave labor where people are treated like sardines, you're now outraged. Which is it? The whole intent is that blind corporate profits don't necessarily ensure the prosperity of a nation and we've seen that with the gutting of the middle class the past few decades. Making capitalism a heat seeking missile for the cheapest place with the least regulations hasn't helped the bottom 90-95%.

This isn't some secret billionaire plan lol. It's been pointed out by very middle class economists for a while now that blind globalization hasn't been beneficial to the prosperity of the working class.
