Tesla suffered its biggest sales decline in the company’s history as sales fell 13% in the first quarter amid massive backlash against Elon Musk. Tesla reported that it delivered 50,000 fewer cars from a year ago, and fell 72,000 cars short of analyst expectations—despite providing incentives such as massive price cuts and zero financing.
the desperation from the South African POS is reaching critical levels from crying in every interview to Trump having to do a sales pitch for him in front of the WH
Oh noes! Maybe Tesla shouldn't have closed the production lines for their best selling car in all four factories. But I am too dumb to know this so Imma just post whatever I find on my favorite propaganda site.
lol. fool is out there swinging chain saws and then he is sad no one feels pity for him losing a few billions. what's the opposite of liberal tears? maga piss?
My understsnding is Tesla is getting destroyed by competiton in China much worse than they are in the US. BYD is the big one but apparently there are a bunch of small EV compaines nobody in the west has heard of. Musk maybe picked the worst time for his freak-out. It seems likely that Tesla was headed for hard times anyway as the other guys caught up. History is going to corelated the downfall of Tesla with Musk's mental illness, when maybe Musk is just accelerating what was always coming.
I am trying to figure out who is the biggest grifter between elmo and the orange man...............it must piss orange man to know the other guy in the room is richer than him
I think it's safe to say that without Chinese ev car makers, Tesla would remain at the top in value and profit margin. These ev companies pose an existential threat to existing car manufacturers as the CCP has heavily subsidized the entire supply chain to pump out better and cheaper batteries and EVs. Tesla is also getting out scooped with automated driving in China, where these companies are offering it for free on order to accelerate training through real life datapoints. It already killed a person, but what's one person in front of the tank of progress? On top of EVs, they're moving into general purpose robotics which is cutting into Elon's Optimus plugs. As much as I like partaking in Elon schadenfreude, we don't have much viable alternatives at the moment to compete with China on these fronts. Elon also sources some critical parts from China, so it's not like he's above it all or has all the answers. Just more insight than other braindead companies that outsourced everything abroad, stopped making good sedans because higher margin utility vehicles that vroom vroom loudest had the most electrolytes murcans needz.
Tesla’s brand reputation is now comically bad. According to YouGov’s brand-reputation tracker, Tesla is now the second-to-last car company, with only 9% of U.S. adults saying they’d consider buying one. For comparison, 39% would consider buying the top brand, Toyota.
I think Elon had made it public that he will try to bankrupt those who bet against his company [Bill Gate], charts could give you a hint of when it could potentially happen. I think you have figured out how it works, for a novice like my self I just executes what seems more likely to ride the market direction. I honestly commented about SQQQ just as a mild recommendation without taking responsibility, 2nd Wave is Deadly, there's a potential for a rebound that only will be an exit and there after its slow sideways that will suck the life of investors for years as Liquidity will be absent
just to give a broader perspective, Deaths related to autonomous driving in the US Fully self-driving cars have been involved in zero deaths up to January 15, 2025. Cars with ADAS2 (not fully automated) have been involved in 47 deaths. Tesla's driver-assist features have been found insufficient in keeping drivers engaged in the task of driving. Tesla's Autopilot software has been involved in 17 fatalities and 736 crashes since 2019. There have been six deaths from accidents involving self-driving cars on Autopilot. Two pedestrian deaths have also been reported from self-driving cars. 29 states have passed legislation around self-driving vehicles, and another 15 states have pending legislation on the subject.
