This makes no sense. This argument negates the team concept. Who then is to be recognized or credited with the victory if “blowout” games cannot be attributed to individual players? Conversely are we only to credit one player in close games? Collectively the team played well and Jalen was a big part of this victory.

Jalen is really surprising me. I wanted his ass traded.

But I see a star in the making. He’s playing like he could eventually become a mix of T-Mac and Steve Francis.

    Which is nuts to think.

overall, I think JG had the best season of his career, even if raw numbers don’t show it. He still has this weird first half of season vs second half split, but something was different this year. It hit me a few games back, against Chicago, he set this strong screen on Nic Vucevic, who’s 100 lbs heavier… "OK, that’s not the same guy”, I realized…

That’s what many fans here don’t seem to understand. If you never had a dribble stop pullup jumper game it’s most probable you won’t develop that move consistently and proficiently. If you never had a mid post game you never will use that as a go to move. Kawhi has a 15-20 ft pullup j game. Amen does not. He might develop some sort of pullup game in his career but that wont be a go to move. That won’t be a big part of his offense. He might shoot 50-60 FGA from 15-19 ft but don’t expect 200-300 FGA.

He also implemented a few wrinkles with dribble drive crossovers and stop and go moves instead of going north south in straight lines

I wanted him traded last season. I will gladly take it back and I wouldn’t trade him for Durant or booker.

what really has changed is the growth and figuring out offenses. Usually, if he starts out like **** early in games, you can bet that he will a bad outing for the rest of that game. This year, it’s not the case, he plays with a confidence that I haven’t seen before and even if he starts out like ****, he fixed his struggles and adjust and end up having great performances. This is how all star players play.

    keep doing your things Jalen

It's funny that some are actively upset that people only criticize players when they play poorly.

Jalen has played very well in the last 4 games, it's very nice to see... I'm not sure why you are so upset by that.

Jalen currently at .426/.353/.816 on the season. If he can finish the season efficiently he'll have career highs in all categories while playing for the 2 seed. Wonder what he'd need to average to surpass his 2nd year 22.1 PPG. Probably won't happen but itd be cool.

Fruck it, just focus on playoffs at this point. Maybe he can be one of those Jamal Murray type of players that just gets hot in the playoffs.

This team is legit dangerous if we're getting March Jalen for the rest of the season

I was thinking the same thing, please let this Jalen hot streak last for another 2 months. When he's on, it's pretty hard to beat this team.

He improved his play tremendously. Maybe the numbers don't show it, but the eye test certainly does.

He's more comfortable creating, much more engaged on both ends, and he cut out (most of) the bad shots and silly drives.

He still goes 2K sometimes, like last night when he had Amen open on the break but elected to chuck the 3. Ime was ready to tear him a new one, but fortunately he made it. You could still see Ime telling him to not do that ish at the timeout lol.

    TBH, Jalen wasn’t trying either.
