Plenty of people make good choices and still can't afford a house for $600000. We can appreciate and applaud your success but its not fair to cast judgement on others. My comment was simply about the overall cost of a house in a suburb in Nashville relative to average incomes there.

That video is spot on they cannot build houses fast enough and my business is absolutely booming I have no shortage of clients because of all the influx of migration and a few new business clients are new transplants from California. I don’t talk politics in business that’s one thing I know for sure but I had one client that told me he feels like he moved to the United States from another country when I asked how he liked it here compared to where he came from..

One thing they did touch on was the traffic and it has exploded in the last 5 to 6 years I don’t even do business in the metro area when initially I did (primarily to avoid traffic) I stay in the suburbs now..Brentwood, some parts of Franklin, Nolensville, Smyrna and Murfreesboro.

PS they are also finally building Whataburger restaurants here lol, all I need is taco cabana and I have a taste of home

Nashville is a really nice city. But my god how it’s grown over the last decade.

    WOW!

I rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath over 800 square feet in Houston in 2008 right of Westheimer about 10 minutes from the Galleria for 750.

I just don't understand why rents have gotten so high, it's not like it cost that much more to run an apartment complex.

I do not live in NYC. But I do live in NY.
Not all of NY state is crazy on rent or home purchase.
My 2000 square foot house with a half acre on the outskirts of Albany was 400k.
I'm sure that's less expensive than Austin at this point.

Now state taxes. That's a different animal all together
