Good first series, main takeaways were how good the SP looked in their first outings of the year. Still need at least 10-15 more games to draw any conclusions about the offense but it was nice to see both Meyers and McCormick contribute with their bats. For now I expect Rodgers to bust and Smith to be ok but not great, which will put the Astros a bat short. Top 3 deadline targets would be Brandon Lowe, Jake Cronenworth, and Brendan Donovan.

The first few series can have some weird days off due to the season starting on a Thursday. Several teams had a Friday off day and that was the original plan for this series. Astros have an off day this coming Friday in the middle of the series in Minnesota.

To be fair on altuves caught stealing, he had ran like 3-4 times on 3-2 counts

It was a hit and run on a 3-2 count that Paredes didn't hit (swung through a middle-up 90mph meatball)

I think we should win 2 of 3 for the rest of the season

That's a good idea. I don't know why the Astros haven't implemented that game plan.

But that’s only like 54 games we get to complain about.

You’re not exactly a sunshine pumper either, pal. At least not since your favorite catcher and manager left 2 years ago.

Whoever wanted OD to be Thursday afternoon. It is good to have a break to ease in the pitching staff. If they just did OD on Friday, the natural day off would be Monday.

Sometimes, I just don't understand MLB decisions. Seems like they jump over backwards sometimes to just make it difficult to watch your favorite team.

It would be quite the season - first team to finish with over 100 wins and under 350 runs.
