This is Cloward-Piven/Alinsky 101. Force the other side to play by the rules you have broken, or else charge them with hypocrisy. Willfully allow/encourage tens of millions to enter the country illegally, then claim each one is entitled to the same due process as an American citizen before they can be deported. They know this is not logistically possible, and that's the point. Use their own rules against them to destroy them (rules you don't actually believe in). That is the point of the Chigurh quote. The ends don't always justify the means. But if the ends lead to your demise, the means won't save you. Getting the left to take the wrong side of an 80/20 issue is good politics by Trump. Obama or Bill Clinton wouldn't be caught dead doing something that stupid (at least rhetorically).

What Trump and his use of media has done - is they have shifted the focus away from the tens of millions of people that live in the USA illegally, many of them for decades - that have jobs, raise families and don't cause problems - to the relatively small number of criminals that live him illegally. They don't want you to see the children and women that are being deported - or the fathers or mothers that work hard and have been good people, and contributed to society that are being forced to leave..... so instead, they show ICE raids for pedophiles and gang members and send people like Noel to go to third world mega prisons to discuss how terrible all these people are. They also won't tell you that ICE has been targeting the criminals, and deporting them for many years. My friend who is an ICE officer has discussed how they were very active under Obama, Biden and Trump targeting and raiding criminals. The difference now is that they are allowed to basically grab anyone they want, and are no longer only targeting violent criminals - but also women, children and non-violent long term residents. It is working for them right now - almost 60% of Americans agree with how Trump has handled immigration. Part of that is because the Democrats have really not pushed back because the establishment are cowards. I will be curious to see what happens to food costs and other service based costs that rely on immigrants to work. If prices get high people will revolt at the election box. Many of these Trump supporters can say they will withstand high inflation - they will not, most will demand more affordable options. This doesn't even get into the legal and ethical questions that all of this pose - as well as a continued erosion of trust for the branches of government.... somewhere, if this continues, is a left-wing demigod peculating that will use all of this to potentially push the USA to a place it does not want to go - and if not a left-wing option, a right-wing authoritarian that isn't afraid to spill blood.
Over 1,800 women are forcibly raped every day in this country. This country average over 50 homicides every day. Don't even get me started on all the creepy child molesters and rapists sexual abusing their own children or relative in their homes every single day. Kudos for getting any violent immigrants doing that out of this country, but don't believe for a second that the majority of illegal immigrants are violent rapists, pedos, and murderers. That is pure fiction. They certainly aren't committing more rapes and sexual and violent assaults on Americans than Americans doing it to their own family members.
