You are not only being silly, you are comparing apples to oranges. NBA is a sport where comparing athletic skills and experience is more obvious. You know damn well most NBA teams are going to choose the best player they can for the salary they are willing to spend if they care about winning, regardless of what color their skin is.

There are tons more companies than NBA teams. Someone deciding who to choose to lead their company can easily choose a white guy over a black guy or woman if equal opportunity or discrimination laws are stripped away. It's hard to prove that someone makes decisions based on age, race, or gender in the business world, even if they do, even with discrimination laws.

There are people who truly believe women and blacks are dumber than white men, and not worthy to lead their companies. There are also those who choose by looks and age. You can have two people with the same experience, track record, education, and grades, but an employer who would never seriously consider giving the black man or any woman applicant the job. If you don't believe that discrimination exists in corporate America you are living in an altered state of reality
