It's the hypocrisy that kills me. So many of them defending the pedophiles they associate with themselves. It reminds me of this old article from one of the biggest right wing groups around. Turning Point USA’s recent Pastors Summit was brought to you, in part, by a registered sex offender. Members and affiliates of the right-wing, extremist-friendly group are some of the most vocal in the crusade to malign LGBTQ people and their allies as child sex predators. But the group appears to be more accepting of those found to have preyed on minors than it lets on. And that hypocrisy led to a wave of criticism over the weekend. Excuse me for not believing a pedophile doesn't continue being a pedophile. Their brains aren't wired right to want sex with children. They are sick in the head, and that doesn't change just because they haven't been caught again.
Republicans in the Arkansas state legislature have introduced legislation that would make it effectively illegal for hairdressers to give gender-based haircuts to people of the opposite gender. The bill would allow the hairdressers to be sued if the haircut given does not conform with the gender assigned to a person at birth. This is reminiscent of the government-approved haircuts in North Korea, and equally as oppressive.
What do people in Arkansas consider gender based haircuts? No braids, weaves, ponytails, or hair more than 2" long on boys?
