    The Republicans in Congress are proving they are the ones obsessed with pronouns and giving undo weight to them (referring to a pronoun as “false” is just dumb). It’s not too much to ask to address a person the way they wish to be addressed. Whether they are really a man or really a woman was not relevant to that hearing.

    Rep. McBride responded to the intentional bullying with an impressive amount of grace.

    If the congressman had a problem with using her preferred pronoun, the one that aligns with how she presents in society, he could have just addressed her as Representative McBride. He wanted to make a political statement about pronouns and their significance in a hearing that had nothing to do with it.
