Not to be pessimistic, but people are entering hunkering down mode because of the uncertainty. Recessions are deflationary. I flew a bit this March and the airports were relatively emptier compared to this time last year.

I heard yesterday that egg prices should fall in line after the Easter demand for eggs is over. the demand is supposed to ease after the holiday and the new batch of egg laying chickens that are to replace the ones culled from bird flu will be mature. As a former Executive Chef who was in charge of purchasing, I know three staples that skyrocket every year around Easter thru Mother's Day. Eggs Asparagus and rack of lamb.
