Generally, most wellbeing and economic stats decidedly favor Dem voting states. Life expectancy, education, safety, income, poverty rates, you name it. New Mexico is the only blue state that really struggles, which only has a population of roughly 2 million people. The Republicans on the other hand have Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kentucky and West Virginia that all chronically struggle across the board. I don't think this argument makes sense.
