No coincidence almost every single one of those states went blue. As for SS, yes I want what I paid in. The government screwed me. Had what they taken from me for SS gone into a mutual fund, I would receive roughly 3 million dollars, using 7-10% compounding interest at the time I’m eligible for payment. I’d LOVE it if my child had a choice between SS or a private mutual fund.
