It's not "the start of" it's "the middle of" - all the DEI/anti woke "backlash" was just a cover for this **** from the worst, dumbest people around.

It was never about women's boxing or NCAA athletics or email signatures. It was always about the racism & the slavery.

 

I do agree that DEI is a cover to fire or not hire blacks, women, and gays in top spots of the military and government. Unless of course it's a big MAGA donor, billionaire, butt kissing Trump loyalist, Trump lawyer, or Fox or right wing media personality. The rest just aren't experienced or qualified according to Trump, and are just DEI hires.

 

That's fine and all but literally no one was asking for this. There is no point other than to induce anger. Can they not just have one freaking day where they don't do something so f***ing insidious and stupid?

I'd like to say that "were" instead of "are" should apply, but sadly that's not the case.

I had a lot of good conversations with my grandmother (never cruelly racist, but...) about this. I told her that the "it's just the way we were raised", back in the 20's onward, was not a good excuse anymore, and she knew it.

 

My grandma, also not a racist bone in her body used to call Brazilian nuts the N word followed by toe.
I told her that she shouldn't say that, and she replied it's all she ever knew to call them.
If you asked for a Brazilian Nuts in her house as a kid no one would know what you were talking about.
