Best and Worst Possible Playoff Matchups for the Rockets

Mavs aren’t going to make the play-in in my opinion. Sac has killed us this year, but if Sabonis is out they would be an easy opponent. GSW will sweep us. I think our best opponent would be Memphis or Phoenix. Lakers, Clippers, GSW, Denver will all have the stripes on their side. Timberwolves is 50/50.

I guess you forget what SGA did in the playoffs last year, especially the Superman performance against the Mavs.

 

I don’t think they would care against Memphis or Minnesota. Not sure about Phoenix. Amen, Jabari, and Tari would give Durant fits if the refs don’t file them out.

I only feel confident against Lakers, Mavericks, Kings, Suns, Timberwolves and maybe Grizzlies.

Thunder, Nuggets, Clippers or Warriors I do not feel confident we would come away with more than 2 wins.

 

How'd that work out for him

 

Just need OKC and GSW on the opposite side of the bracket as ours and I like our chances to go far

 

Way too early to think about first round playoff opponents.

First get 50+ wins.

Get healthy roster -- Tari Eason, Amen Thompson, Fred V.

If everyone is healthy, then think who Ime Udoka can add to the roster-- like Steven Adams and Cam Whitmore and Nate Williams.

If everyone is available, then maybe the Rockets are ready to surprise a team or maybe even two.

 

They lost, but it wasn't because of him. In case you missed it, my point was SGA will be fine in the playoffs no matter how the refs call the game.

I Actually think the Kings are one of the worst matchups, they've kicked our butts this year. Those games we had against them we were always chasing them, I think its just always that one mediocre team that you just don't match up well against. The Kings have been that team for us this year.

Thankfully, not a likely match up, can't see them catching Minny or LAC and 9/10 seed can only be 8.

 

only teams im genuinely scared of are the Warriors and Thunder.

We have a solid chance against everyone else.

 

I would say this correct, except maybe add the Lakers, because the NBA is corrupt.

The Kings don't have enough fire power/experience to over come us then IMO

I understand the 8-game win streak has been against sorry competition and expectations must be kept in check, but I'm becoming more confident of the Rockets winning a playoff series if they avoid the Warriors. Particularly if they have home-court.

It's obvious by now they won't fall into the play-in, so OKC is off the table.

Confession: I'll probably flip-flop if they stumble a bit in the final 5 games.

 

Unfortunately Dub, Chet, Giddey, Dort, Joe all forked up.

 

The gripe is they always time it before the Playoffs and then in April the shooting goes to shet.

March Madness is not the NBA Playoffs.

 

I've not actively watched a Clippers game with him. Without him or him not being a Top 10 player in the league, they look like toast in the playoffs.
