@mfastx It's actually well reported that free throws dropped dramatically since 2024 ASB. I believe it was around 5 per game. No rule changes, they just subjectively started applying the rules differently.
Jalen with yet another great game leading Rockets to their 8th straight win. Booker who? Aside from OKC and maybe SAS if they get Flagg Rox have one of the brightest futures in the league. They are both young and getting results, 8th straight win deep in the season is no joke. Stone hit on 3 gems with Alpi, Amen and Jalen and even have a supporting cast ready. He just needs to be patient to stay the course and give these kids time to grow up instead of doing panic trades and getting some washed or soon to be washed star. None of the Rox have even hit their prime, how good would all of them be when they are 26 instead of 23? This team is gonna be the new age bad boy Pistons 2.0 except they got together at age 19 instead of 29.
Watching these guys improve each season has been a lot of fun as a fan. Great game by Jalen to close out the win.
Gotten to a point where I trust Jalen more with the ball in his hands than I do Fred. He's really figured out how to attack the spaces given to him. Didn't like the opening barrage of 3 pt bricks but is what it is. At this point he makes a Booker trade pointless.
I really don’t think we need Jalen to be a 50/40/90 guy. We just need him to be a good high-volume scorer than can also be a secondary ball handler who puts a ton of pressure on the opposing defense. That’s exactly what he did tonight against the Magic, and what he’s been doing for the last few games. The efficiency will improve over time, and it hasn’t even been all that bad since the start of December! The playmaking, the poise, the ability to impact the game in multiple ways…that’s where I’ve seen the biggest growth, especially after Fred went down. It wasn’t always pretty, but that stretch was important, in my opinion. And the best part is? I think he’s just getting started
Ime is definitely trusting Green now. Wonder how often Fred will have the ball when Amen is back. At that point Alpi, Jalen and Amen should be on ball most of the time.
I think JG, Fred and Sengun have managed to achieve a nice balance of playmaking duties. We havent even missed Amen despite him supposedly being the stat stuffer of this team.
50/40/90 isn't realistic and the Rockets don't need Jalen to be that. 47/39/85 with improved defense and game-closing savvy would be just fine with me.
When is he going to get his accolades? He has been more consistent, leading the team in scoring, playmaking, playing defense and playing PG, yet people say he's not the best player on the team. Why not? I'm just glad he's a Rocket
Just enjoy his play and stop worrying about why Jalen isnt the best player on the team. He's an integral piece right now. That's good enough.
Although I said I'm just glad he's a Rocket, which ultimately mean, none of that matters. However, I knew one of you all would take the bait. So, why you don't thinknhe should be labeled as the teams best player, curious?
