I dunno the first two games had the most god awful officiating that swung the game in Kings favor. And we missed FVV in one the games. A healthy rockets team should have no issue with the kings.
My thing is they can match up against us well; Sengun - Sabonis Tari - Murray Brooks - DeRozan Green - LaVine FVV - Monk Bench Adams - Valanciunas Amen - Ellis Holiday - Fultz Jabari - Lyles
It’d be great if we can realise Dillon’s dream. Knock the old man on the first round. Send him home. He also can’t drive to his left. Unfortunately, refs wouldn’t make it a fair game. Gimme Clippers, Or Memphis. Avoid OKC at all costs. I’d like to enjoy the first round thinking we have a chance.
Ya not me. I think against the kings the rockets would be like 80-90%. Denver and lakers would be sub 10% chance. You always wanna play the vastly inferior team.
They haven't even seen the double big lineup yet. That changes our dynamic completely. I think all the teams in playoffs can match up well with us. We haven't even played Kawhi all year, it's the playoffs all the teams are good and it's just better to not play a big market team that is gonna get all the fouls calls.
That is a lot of confidence to have in thinking the Rockets can handle the Nuggets when the only game they have played against them Deandre Jordan was the starting center, and not Jokic. No Aaron Gordon either that game.
Im just saying they can match up with us. I don't think the Lakers match up with us at all but time will tell. Not a lot of teams can play big and in the Playoffs, it's about matchups.
ESPN does not think highly of us: https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/st...west-tiers-lakers-nuggets-warriors-battle-okc Houston Rockets Current record: 43-25 Record since Feb. 17 check-in: 9-4 Tier change: Fred VanVleet's return from two ankle injuries came at a perfect time for the Rockets, who went 10-9 without him despite facing relatively easy opponents. Houston will be hard-pressed to reach second in the West but is well-positioned for home-court advantage in the first round because the Rockets' remaining schedule is much easier than Memphis' slate, which, according to BPI, is the league's hardest. As we look toward the playoffs, there are reasons for skepticism about Houston's chances. Of the team's typical starters, only VanVleet has playoff experience. The Rockets are also unusually weak for a playoff team in half-court offense. On the first play of a half-court possession, Houston averages just .92 points per play, which is 26th in the league, according to Cleaning the Glass. No other above-.500 team is in the bottom 10 in this category and no bottom-five half-court offense has made the playoffs since 2021-22, when the Toronto Raptors (26th) and New Orleans Pelicans (27th) lost in the first round. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This is why I have been saying our offense is broken, and that we are a regular season team - Ime hasn't done a good job of installing an offense that takes advantage of movement leaving us vulnerable. DD
I think the lakers are possibly one of the worst matchups for us. Didn't Luka drop 40 on us in 1 half last year? And they have LeBron who you could argue is the best playoff performer in league history. Don't think it's be good for us
Denver hasn't changed much since last yr and I actually think their roster haven't gotten any better. The Rockets have improved, based upon maturation, this is why I like our catchup with Denver
It'll be a contrast of styles and I think our bigs will wear them down over a 7 game series. If the Rockets play Adams, Sengun and Jabari, who guards them? Jackson Hayes will foul out the first half. And if Ime play zone, the Lakers will have to shoot a high percentage at the 3pt line to win.
Best bets are: Mavs/Suns, T-Wolves, Memphis, Denver Slight favor them but not unbeatable: Clippers and Kings Avoid: Thunder, Warriors, Lakers.............Cavs/Boston [East]
I want the 2 seed, playing the wolves in the first round. Then playing Denver as the 3 seed in the second. I want the Lakers losing to Memphis as the 4/5, because F the lakers, then Memphis upsetting OKC in the 2nd round. Think that’s the path to the finals. I’m not expecting the finals, nor expecting the 2nd round, nor the semis for that matter. But, that’s the path, if a path can be made.
Can we clinch a playoff spot first please? A 3-4 game losing streak could put any team except OKC in the play-in.
Saying it for weeks now, would rather play OKC than the Warriors or Kings. Just keep winning and avoid them.
