    Definitely taking this year as gravy and hoping the Suns lose as many games as possible over worrying about our playoff seed.

    No one expected the PHX swap to be meaningful this season - most expected PHX to be a top seed and the Rockets struggling to be a play in team - this years swap is icing on the cake.

    The real prize in that trade was the 27 & 29 PHX picks unprotected - AFTER Durant & co are gone and they have no assets to fix their future - the 32 pick is the first of their own picks they control.

    Phoenix has the playoff still to play for, but I am wondering if the emotion fissures and the injury to Beal may just kill them emotionally at this point.

    I expected the Suns to be anywhere between 4th to 11th as I thought the West would have a ton on teams finishing in the 40-49 win range such that any bad streak could doom a team. The Suns are going to end a few wins short of 40, but backend of the lottery to upper teens should not be surprising.

    But even if they do, they'd have to win twice to get into the playoffs. I don't like their chances.

    Most media outlets had them easily making the playoffs and most of the posters here were complaining that the swap wouldn't even convey. Go back and read the comments on the trade .....

    Hell I even thought it was unlikely to convey - unless KD had a flat tire or something

    It's the two best of Houston, Phx and Dallas.

    Both could be lottery picks.
