Cam Smith starting in RF and batting fifth in a lineup of basically everyday starters. Really feels like Joe and Dana are serious about wanting to see if he's ready sooner rather than later. If he can play in the outfield and hits well the rest of spring, is it outside the realm of possibility he could make the opening day roster?

 

Dicenzo playing 1b today. If he keeps hitting in ST, it would be criminal to send him down. He should be the starting RF, if Cam has to wait a month.

 

I’m wondering if Dezenzo and Smith haven’t made it reasonable to put Altuve back at 2B and have Smith and Dezenzo in the outfield corners. Makes it more feasible to play McCormick in CF most days.

With that catch in left, altuve just solidified that he's making the squad.

Yeah…. He’s had about as good a spring thus far as he could have possibly asked for

 

I would say he's a lock to make the team. What is that? 9 innings with no hits allowed? 10 out of last 11 batters K'd.

 

He just aced his final exam. Definitely a lock. Plus we need another lefty
