Not in love with the tackles available in this draft so far (short arms, poor shuttle times)... EXCEPT Logan Brown (who is a 4th / 5th) prospect

49ers are supposedly trading everyone... Trent Williams? huge cap hit for them tho

Noteboom? was on OL with NBDN as asst OC

LT was great when he got here at pass pro, that has started to decline but is still elite. He’s never been great at run blocking. Obviously his false starts were an issue as they tended to happen at the most inopportune times and he was getting caught holding more.

However, this was a great time to trade him. He wants a new contract, his play did not merit being the highest paid OT of all time, again. And it’s been mentioned but from what I can gather, the perceived lack of fire/dawg from the OL started with him(never went to help up CJ during games).

Weren’t getting back 2 1s for him, but decent haul either way. It was time

The trade is good....but given the state of the O-Line I am not sure we had the luxury of making it.

I think they got too little value for Tunsil. But if they can turn the savings into another player, it may end up being a net positive trade.

I’m hesitant to say this trade is good. Simply for the fact Tunsil protected the blindside at an elite level. But he basically gave his whole unit an FU, it’s all about Tunsil.

It’s a great trade. The Texans want to run the ball. LT and Schultz are both terrible run blockers. I guarantee MIxon is doing back flips. My guess is that the new OC had a hand in this.

This trade was all about cutting out bad culture.

Your highest paid player doesn’t fit the culture of the team. You have to make that move!

What would the trade market look like for Schultz? I see a blocking tight end in our future. The Tunsil trade is a declaration. This team wants to run the ball and believe play action will be the added pass protection.

That sounds like the same thing with Tyreek and the Chiefs.

1000% this - you can’t have a team captain who doesn’t lead, hold others accountable, and places himself above everyone else on the team. Bottom line, he does NOT fit Demeco’s SWARM mentality.

This will suck for the team in the short term but Caserio’s shown me enough for me to trust the process.

Hope they have a plan because trading an above average left tackle, warts and all, is a BIG RISK.

The Texans under Casario have sucked at drafting offensive linemen.

I expect the line to be poor next year - but lets wait and see.
