I lean pretty hard into everything back to about 1964. I guess I have a soft spot for the music of my childhood/teenage/college years as we all do. As far as new music, I paid attention until about 2010 or so then kinda finally sunk back in to what I like and have stayed there. My 12 year old daughter is starting to force me back into todays stuff.
Lol. Touché. I can’t stand ska and when I was in college and my first few years in Austin after college it was the hipster craze. Just never did anything for me but I’m glad it resonates with you. Now the specials and madness were clearly iconic in that genre and I respect those bands.
This is interesting because Tim Armstrong is in one the Interrupter Videos that I posted and he has also done some stuff with Jimmy Cliff. Maybe one or more of the guys from the Interrupters is in this video.
Fair enough but ska is kinda niche. I have a pretty wide range of genres that I love. I’m sure we have more in common than you think. Although, if not, I still respect your preferences. Whatever turns your crank!
I range far beyond Ska. If you have the time, scroll back through my posts last Night and into this Morning. I have posted them in the past, but will give them another go for this.
Other than the 60's stuff that I posted, most everything else that I posted seemed to suit you until the end when i brought up the Interrupters. I already know that posting 60's stuff is taking a chance, but will still post it just in case it does appeal to somebody.
Hadn't listened to them yet. I'll do that soon. I was just geeking out on Stewart Copeland, Neil Peart, and Max Roach for a bit. I like a good drummer.
I think that this is the Channel for Missioned Souls A family that does a good job with Covers. Sometimes with the parents and sometimes just the youngsters themselves. Seems that the three Girls are 16 (?) and younger while the Drummer is 11 (?).
