It is looking more and more likely we end up with a 4-5 Memphis-Houston matchup. Which would be a great scenario for us , regardless of home court.
I'd prefer a 3-6 matchup with Memphis(the Rockets being the 3rd seed) so we avoid the Thunder as long as possible. It's not unthinkable that the Warriors pass the Grizzlies in the standings. Golden State may not lose more than 4 games the rest of the way given their soft schedule, Memphis could easily lose 8 or 9, and the Warriors currently have a 2-1 edge in the season series with one left to play at Memphis in early April.
Memphis or Denver is the team that I would try to play in the 1st round. we can't beat GSW, ever, and refs won't let Lebron and Luka lose to us. Memphis is the only matchup where I feel we can make it to the 2nd round.
please nooooo. Vancouver Grizzlies, Clippers and the Timberwolves are the only 2 teams we can go mano a mano in the first round. Watch us get Golden State. Don't even want to think about it.
It doesn’t matter who we play this year for this is an evaluation season...as a fan who wants us to advance in the playoffs, give me Memphis in the 1st round. Thinking long term about our current roster, we need a difficult matchup 4-7 games such as the Lakers, Warriors, or Nuggets to evaluate which players will continue to be our foundational pieces...don't know how Jalen and Sengun will perform when basketball gets REAL in the playoffs - especially when we don't get calls in our favor.
So, we managed to win the warmup games vs Pelicans to start this stretch. Let’s cross fingers for Amen’s MRI results and hope he’s alright. Two important games coming up, first Magic and then Suns. If we win these games, it will hopefully boost us to win the following 3 home games against the short handed Mavs, the Bulls and the Sixers, before we travel to Florida. Let’s go Rockets!! Keep it up so we can have 50 wins and secure a too-6 spot to the playoffs.
I just want 50 wins. If we can manage to go 11-7 the rest of the way we would end up at 50-32. That would be a great success for this season which has been plagued by injuries.
