When it comes to military aid, its good business for the US. Whether its Israel or someone else (such as Ukraine). You can look up how it goes down. For instance if you give someone 10B worth of weapons, they have to use American companies for transport, literally half of that money goes right back into the economy and they still owe 10B. With Israel its little bit different, they have to pay 76% (they still have to use the American companies), and the other 24%, its in any technological developments, such as military or something else. Plus information, like if Israel is in a act of war, and they figure something out thats working, that information isn't free, but they'll disclose it with the US. So back to the point, Israel or anyone doesn't get any aid for free

Petty wars? You mean wars over resources, territory, etc? You think that's going to change?

Then why are they a major source of cyber attacks on the US?

Russia is an imperialist nation that controls vast territory from eastern Europe through central asia to pacfiic ocean either directly and indirectly. They have shown they will use their massive resource production as blackmail and means to control. Hell they used grain as a blackmail tool. They start coups like every major power, as Russia and China are certainly carving up central africa. But sure....

American isolationism wasn't a prosperous time.

Doesn't mean the US needs to roll over.

As I said, opposition will continue to grow. Just like they overthrew the previous regime, Trump will over throw this one.
    Same game, different players.

Yeah, it's pretty interesting how similar gaslighting and agitprop look. Two sides of the same coin, I suppose.

First - it certainly hasn’t been proven that Ukraine cannot win without WWIII. I don’t know where or why you reached this conclusion but the Russians have been attacking Ukraine for years and have overall not done well, especially when you consider that many of the people claiming Ukraine could not win had Russia taking Ukraine in 6 months.

Second, if you believe for a second that Putin would be happy with capitulation on Crimea and some degree of influence in several hot spots - I have land in the desert to sell you. Putin has repeatedly attacked Ukraine and he also has discussed his ambition in direct addresses to the Russian people.

This isn’t that hard. Ukraine is a democracy and its own separate country. Russia has repeatedly attacked Ukraine and is currently attempted to take over the country by force. Ukrainians do not want to be a vassal state to a poor non democratic aggressor like Russia.

The Russians are in the wrong - if Ukraine wants to defend itself then it should be able to defend itself. If the USA can give Zionists trillions of dollars and spend trillions of dollars playing GI Joe in Iraq and Afghanistan - it can sell weapons to Ukraine to defend themselves.

Sometimes things are black and white - not often but sometimes and this is one of those times.

The US still has massive advantages over China from a global perspective and it honestly isn’t that close. Can that change? Absolutely over time it can, but the only way that it would in short order is through self infliction.

It really would need to be a topic for a whole thread but the US advantages are massive.

If he ****s up and life gets hard for Americans - he will be a pariah.

Going with the status quo with his diplomacy is handled and things are done - and having a recession or inflation gets the ire of the American people but it isn’t really hate.

If this doesn’t work out and the economy or stability is threatened - I cannot imagine what the backlash will.

Credit to Trump for having the guts to put his nuts on the table - but he really likes playing poker… but the stakes are very high.

There aren’t going to be any elections in Ukraine - under their Constitution they cannot. They are actively being invaded. Further the logistics of it are foolish, how do all the Ukrainians in Russian controlled territory going to vote?

Trump may well try to overthrow Zelenskyy and it may even work - but it certainly isn’t in the best interest of the USA.

It's politics- it disgusts real men by default. Trump is doing the bidding of the silent majority that doesn't want to keep throwing resources to prolonging an unwinnable war. liberals talking machismo is hilarious , Ukraine must accept their destiny or continue to suffer, as the world has too much comfort to throw themselves into WWIII for a former USSR state.

LOL, if Trump declared martial law and assumed a 3rd term, would you similarly say that there can't be any elections? Because that's what Ukraine is saying. Zelensky hides behind this statement because he'd get blown out of any election he ran in. The Ukrainian people see that this war is not winnable and is destroying the country they used to be proud of.

It's sad that Zelensky's ego... and the American Democrats' and intel agencies' corruption... is getting in the way of peace.

You don't understand Russia's strategy -- which is a war of attrition. The longer it goes, the lower chance of Ukraine winning. What you are also not factoring in is that Ukraine is low on troops and the outside funding (USA, Europe, others) is now highly in question. Russia always knew they could win a war of attrition against a smaller country. Ukraine cannot win this war the way things are going, with Russia steadily taking ground and Ukraine running out of people/money. Objective people can see this, and rightly question why we'd throw more money into a losing battle.

I feel sorry for the US national security professionals in the military & Intel services who signed up to be the leader of the free world, arsenal of democracy etc and instead end up being made the hired thugs of Putin Piss Babies. It's like being traded to the Mavericks.

    Time to keep detailed notes

Arsenal of democracy for Ukraine and Zelensky, who refuse to have elections. Liberal simply have no self-awareness.

I'm so glad the 'forever war' strategy got summarily rejected in our elections. It's time to mature and evolve away from that.

Unhinged, emotional, passive-aggressive liberal. Not very persuasive, that's for sure!

"Slava Ukraini" is how liberals try to cast themselves as fantasy characters in someone else's war... to let them psychologically feel like they are in a battle of good versus evil... and fill an empty void in their low-impact lives. Psychologically, it's a form of escapism. Meanwhile, for those of us living in the real world... throwing hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars into a losing battle halfway across the world... just doesn't add up when we are deeply in debt and have pressing needs at home.

    GOOD DAY
