They changed it up when they were winning being more dynamic and unpredictable. They were aggressive attacking the paint and defense was very aware and alert. They have resorted to old ways with Sengun dump downs and high screen and rolls.
Wait, what. Green was in for nearly 100 of the Pacers points. Rockets got a lead with him on the bench in the 1st half only for Green to come back in. 2nd half...down by a million when he sits. Team comes back. Loses lead after guys tired. Green comes in and Pacers runs away with it again.
And perimeter defense. Apparently Sengun is supposed to guard Halliburton, Siakem and his man Turner.
You're right, it wasn't just Sengun, it was the whole team. But my problem with the Rocketa offense is that it SPUTTERS. And the problem I think is Alpi. If you go to Alpi, he kicks it back out, the guards are force to shoot a 3pt or a jump shot. Last night the lanes were open, they were DRIVING AND KICKING. The Sen -Hub doesn't work
as much as I hate to say it playing thru Sengun isn’t it. The offense is just so stagnant while the defense is compressed in the paint. Just awfully boring and difficult to watch
All I got to say is…I had a feeling this was coming when we threw in the towel yesterday. It was a ridiculous decision to give up on any NBA game, especially when we played like THIS to finish this one. Not much of the season left, I hope we finish on a decent note but we won’t if this is what we’re doing
In the same token our guards pass to Alpi all the time when they have the ball in their hands, instead of driving in or taking shots themselves.
Sengun the only starter to have a good game (shoutout to Eason off the bench for showing up to the game as well) and the usual suspects blaming him for the loss. Never fails to make me crack up, even in wins he gets hate so par for the course. Sengun was the only starter tonight to shoot over 60% (12-19), highest scorer in the team (25), highest assists (7) in the team and still had 9 rebounds. Meanwhile, every other starter shot below 40%. There is some serious Senhaters out here and they need to start looking at some of their favorite players instead if they want to lay blame. Still, not surprised, I imagine the Senhaters all look like this.
Sengun was part of the lineup when the Rockets got the lead. As usual Ime goes away from what’s working and brings Jalen back who was the worse player on both ends of the court.
Yeah, I was saying the Rockets have a chance to win if they sit the dude who was -22 in 32 minutes of gameplay. Jalen Green is not a good basketball player. His lack of understanding basketball, and reading defenses is DeAndre Jordan level bad.
I didn’t know we would lose, but I hated the attitude that led to us losing yesterday. So, perhaps the basketball gods punished us by putting a lid over the basket. Hopefully the game vs the Pelicans will be slightly better
The Achilles heel for us right now on the defensive end is layups are free from the left and right box. If someone has some sort of stat tracker on that the results must be astounding in a bad way. We clog down the middle of the lane ok but on the wings of the rim we are a leaky faucet
Dont mean to be disrespectful BUT thats what Ive been saying!! If Sengun is in the LANE, he is blocking the guards from driving. If they drive into the lane, it's easy for the defense to collapse because Sengun is in the lane. Sengun needs a 3pt shot to spread the court. That's why I said, we need a Myles Turner type center.
I hope Ime wont mention "soft" again. He is ****ing soft that waved white flag before last game getting started.
