Yeah, no reason to even think about trading him this season unless you're getting a top 10 player who fits our timeline, or a similarly young player of similar quality to Sengun who's a better fit--neither of those scenarios are likely since you barely need two hands to count the players who might fit that criteria

Alperen has been horrible for a while now, worst 20 game stretch as a pro. He is still getting his numbers, but he is inefficient and turnover prone. His free throw shooting in the clutch has been terrible and his decision making in the clutch has been amateur at best. I'm scared we will miss the playoffs. All I can do now is hope GS, Clippers, Minnesota, Sac and Dallas continue to lose.

Terrible FT shooting. TO’s in the paint. 1 illegal screen per game. Not winning basketball

30/10/5 and box score watchers will say he had a great game. Garbage defense, wasted possessions cause he can't make FTs and turns the ball over every other possession.

yes the Christian Wood/KPJ effect. Looks great numbers wise but closer examination shows multiple mistakes each game and costly.

He had 2 days off and barely made half his free throws today so he can't use fatigue as an excuse. It's insane how he can only focus on the line when he misses the first one. You can see it on his face when he actually hones in. He closes his eyes and breathes. But if he makes the first one, he shoots the 2nd casually and bricks it. He doesn't have the mental engagement to focus on both free throws. Tired of it and he's a liablity now.

the 2 man Sengun game all game simply does work. Can’t just dump it down to one guy and expect to win. Offense too predictable

pick and roll defense sucks as usual. Don’t know why we don’t trap more or hedge those picks so the ball handler can’t penetrate. We get killed every game on simple high screen and rolls

Shi+ at least make 5 of those 7. We would have been up instead of playing behind. Basketball is about psychology and even simple things like FT’s matter. Going up 5 points is different than down 5 points. We would have been up when we made that run to tie the game. This is why every play every point matters

I remembered during his pre-season interview, he said he put great effort on improving his free throws and 3pt shot in the summer, now it seems that he is even worse at both...

Sengun should have had 40+ if he hits if FT and shot more of those open 10-15fters. I get trying to get everyone involved but JV was not even attempting to play defense on Alpi in the high post. The wings were playing the lanes and JV was at the rim.

Also was out of position defensively more than usual and gambled when it wasn’t necessary.

We went to the game tonight and watched the Rockets take a shi*. Sengun does so many good things but the free throws, turnovers, and my God, he always bites on the Sacramento pick and roll. He'd chase the guard and Valancianus would flash unimpeded to the basket.

And we’re pretty good at playing up on the PnR so I don’t understand why we don’t do it more either. Drop coverage doesn’t work that well unless you have a shot blocker doing it

I was kind of shocked his "fantasy" numbers looked so good tonight. Despite the counting stats this was not a good game for him. He's been off for a while now. I think his back might still be bothering him, he seems to be laboring out there.

Just 22 years old, and he’ll continue to get better. If we look at it objectively, Alpi is way ahead of schedule and is on a superstar trajectory. Sabonis (the son) wasn’t doing the kind of things Alpi was doing at 22, neither was Jack Sikma or Pau Gasol or whoever his comparison is these days.

I understand the frustration and I get frustrated too. But at the end of the day, this whole year is a growth year and Alpi hill keep on growing. I mean ****, JALEN is starting to become an efficient player and good defender— if he can put in the work to make that happen, I see no reason why Alpi won’t make huge strides in the future too
