The guy I'm most excited about has 91 hands and 81 blocking stats. But because of a 4.55 40 and average height, he's expected to go in the 3rd round. The reason is he mirrors Schultz who blocks poorly at TE. We can still have our blocker, just from a WR rather than TE. And this could cause confusion to our opponents.
I wouldn't mind trading back if it meant Tyler Booker was still there in the late first. We could use the extra picks, garnered, to shore up the receiver and d-line holes we need to fill. Among others.
Man if they could find a way to come out of this draft with Jackson Collins Mubuka Hawes or Lachey I would be so happy, add WR's in FA.
I realize I’m far from the only Longhorns fan here, and by admitting one I realize I immediately risk coming off as a homer when I try to add to the conversation, but the one year Mukuba was in Austin he was a clear and consistent standout and playmaker on that Longhorn defense, the kind of player I make a mental note of watching in college so that I’m not surprised when I hear their name again on Sunday’s
Bech strikes me as someone Caley would like to add--big, great hands, strong blocker, etc. His film looks good, we'll see how he runs.
