How about instead I do a loser/moron poster thread about you!!! Didn’t know you were a close friend of Fox and knew he would bolt the Rockets for the Spurs. By that token we should never sign anyone if they have a liking for another close by city. You gotta be one of the dumbest posters I have ever seen on this board!
Now, I see why J. Tate took Cam's minutes...his body language and movement in garbage time was terrible...he gets in this pouty mode when adversity hits. I think he'll be traded this off-season.
In retrospect, the teams at the draft were not dumb, the red flags were legit, he is still massively talented.......
ESPN said it on air. Ime values consistent effort on and off the court. Cam has a lot of growing up to do.
Cam is giving off Christian Wood vibes. So much talent, I hope he doesn't blow it. He played like he didn't give one single damn tonight.
Man you are the king of well timed and hilarious one liners on this board. Thank you for making me chuckle even at myself sometimes!!
Cam has really hurt his value. He won’t be considered a significant asset in a trade. Probably late 1st/early 2nd round value now.
We have to be patient with him like we were with Jalen. Cam has to learn from Jalen to put his head down and work hard off the court no matter what anyone says. Work never goes completely unrewarded, you at least benefit yourself from it. All that sulking can happen internally while cheering for his teammates and being a great teammate on the court. Subsequently, that internal sulking can't be left unprocessed or left to spiral and inflate in the mind. Go talk to someone and you may discover that what you're mad about is silly and easy to fix when said out loud to someone you can trust. Cam needs to understand he whined publicly, Udoka shockingly said he's cool with it and even gave him more minutes immediately after and then the defense and passing wasn't good enough. Then he stopped playing him. Udoka let Cam dig his own grave, very wise on his part. There's no mystery here, Jalen told us in an interview Udoka told him straight up at the beginning: players who don't give 100% on defense will not play. It's not about being a good defender (hence Holiday), it's about looking like you were willing to die for the team out there. It's about monthly progress if you're trying to improve your defense. Things are bleak right now but Cam is better than what he's been. It's literally just immaturity about responsibilities and work relationships, it's not about talent or potential. I have not heard he's lazy off the court, in fact he has expressed that he's used to more difficult practices than Udoka's. The only thing we know for a fact is that he sulks too much too quick too often and maybe previously in life it would be a big deal. He has to slowly feel the burn of "oh they don't care, they're on the way up with or without me, I'm not the central piece on my team anymore." Cam, a great coach would be better at communicating I'll give you that. You can't sit and wish things were different. Go see a therapist and undo your entangled feelings about relationships. What's happening is not personal to you and that's a good thing for you. Doing your best in a bad situation is the best way to get to a better place. Sulking during a bad situation will almost always result in a progressively worse situation. You are totally capable of motivating yourself and not sulking and cheering for the team and most importantly believing in yourself instead of giving up. Believing in yourself is not about outward confidence and statements. It's about internal self-esteem. You are a rock, you can take punches and stay solid, you haven't done everything you can to show us who you are. Your best is still in front of you if you want it. Rooting for him during this stretch. Get real guys we all have highly successful friends who took a couple of years longer to mature, it's not a big deal. Just because he would mature at 23 instead of 21 doesn't mean the career collapsed - as long as he insists on continuing to improve himself.
If Cam were on San Antonio he would be Stephen Castle like or better. He isn't getting time he needs to develop, and if I were him I would be pissed off too..... DD
