[RIP] Michelle Trachtenberg Dead At 39 - Buffy, Harriet The Spy and Eurotrip Star

    Michelle Trachtenberg, known for her roles in "Gossip Girl" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," has died at age 39.

    Police sources confirmed the devastating news to The New York Post, and her death is reportedly not being investigated as suspicious. The cause remains unclear.

    In recent months, the former child star shared troubling social media posts, appearing gaunt and frail.

    She defended her appearance, calling out "haters" and saying, "Explain to me how I look sick." She also reminded followers ... "Did you lose a calendar and not realize I’m not 14. I’m 38. How sad for you to leave such a comment.”

    In another post, she made it clear that she never had plastic surgery and was "happy and healthy."

    Michelle rose to fame as a child star in "Harriet the Spy" -- later becoming a household name in her role as Dawn Summers on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," then took on the Upper East Side as Georgina Sparks in "Gossip Girl."

    Only really knew her from Eurotrip but damn, 39 is way too young....RIP

    This could very well go into the Things that make me feel old thread...... also makes Gellar old

    RIP .....condolence to her family.

    I am not sure if I think it is good that this is not being investigated more.

    If there wasn't foul play.....I mean some of her fans would ultimately want to know if she suffered from substance abuse or anything really.

    I mean Ariana Grande looks sickly but I am not expecting any news of that sort.
    Cynthia Erivo....for that matter.

    Wicked is doing alright.

    Apparently she had a liver problem and had a liver transplant a couple of months ago? That could be her fault, or it could just be a bad ticket in the genetic lottery.

    She always came off like she was trying to look/be older, maybe because she had a baby face? I didn’t really follow her career after Buffy.

    Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven from Stranger Things) gives me the same vibe.
