That doesn't sound like a "businessman".

    Businessmen take out investment loans.

How does this leftist understand capitalism more than a pro-capitalist?

Actually I think it's very common for ideological leftists to understand how the economy works more than people who cheerlead capitalism. It's a funny aspect of political discourse. When you cheerlead you can't be critical. And when you can't be critical you lose basic intellectual curiosity on the subject matter.

I've taken out loans before and paid them off as quickly as possible.

Smart business.I'm a believer in capitalism, obviously you're be believer in cradle to grave govt will take care of you. We're never going to agree and it's a waste of time. You can have the last word. Carry on.

The GDP is literally the output of the country dog. Think of the GDP as revenue generated from your business and the loan to purchase the capital goods required to start your business is your debt. If your revenue is more than your debt and expenses, are you underwater?

What percentage of our GDP is the national debt? Given your narrative, it would need to be over 100%. So what is it?

People like that don't give a damn about anyone else. They act like they are the only damn ones in the world who work hard and pay taxes. They don't give a damn about those who can barely make ends meet, even though they work as hard as they do. Nope. They snub their noses at those roofing houses, cleaning offices, hotels, and workspaces, those laying asphalt, or other jobs that make it hard to keep afloat, no matter how hard they work. Those vets coming home with PTSD, and other horrible issues after serving our country who go to an understaffed VA services or support.

It's those types I won't share a tear for when something unexpected like a terminal illness, family tragedy, or national disaster puts them in a dire situation, or prevents them physically or mentally, to provide for themselves or their family.

no business would run itself like this.

i dont dine with wealthy mexican industrialists, but i do work directly with presidents of multi-milliion dollar companies and none of them act like trump or would deliberately go around causing such chaos, uncertainty and instability.

anyone who thinks this is a proper way to run a business knows nothing about how to run a business.

Pro Publica has probably done some of the most in depth journalism of the national rent pricing fixing scandal using software algorithms.

The cat is out of the bag in regards to doing illegal things to get what you want. And I'd much rather journalists do illegal things to cover actual corruption of wealthy people vs doing illegal things to make sure private capital owners own all federal government functions to increase their personal wealth.

    DO you understand this?

The Trump admin going after Pro Publica strengths their street cred of being actual journalists.

Trump got a taste of Modi glaze from his country's press when they had the joint press conference where a India reporter basically glazed Modi and the question basically ended with "why are you so awesome".

That is the goal Trump. He wants the entirety of the media ecosystem to just glaze him.

"Mr. President I've heard about the massive girth of your hog sir. Mr. President why is your hog so glorious sir?" That is basically the range of media questioning Trump wants in front of him.

This is what Musk did when he bought Twitter.

Does the companies you deal with ask their employees to list 5 things they've done or are going to do in a week?

LOL. exactly. and their value is down like 80% since herr musk bought it.

performance reviews are pretty normal. perhaps you ask someone to detail what their tasks are on a daily/weekly basis in order to identify potential opportunities to maximize efficiency (i have both been asked to do that and asked that of others). ive never heard of a company that i know of doing something as aggressive as what musk did, threatening to fire them if they dont respond. and you definitely would never see the CEO or a musk-like outside hatchet-man up there with a chainsaw and bragging about causing so much harm to so many people. he is an attention whoring jackass and a hypocritical government leach to the tune of billions and billions of dollars.

i dont get how anyone could support what is happening right now. the richest person in the world single-handedly dismantling our government with zero overisght. and he has billions of dollars worth of conflicts of interest. and he is destroying the agencies that are tasked with regulating his businesses. and giving himself more government contracts. and taking over the FAA and replacing it with his starlink, which we will pay for...another example of him leaching off the taxpayer.

I dont see how you dont want to see the govt waste be cut preferably to the bone. As far as destroying govt agencies, both parties have had a chance to clean this up. You seem to have a problem with the pace he's doing things. Time is of the essence because they only have 2 years to clean this mess up.

Like I said before the Biden didn't have any compassion or cared when they laid off 11,000 oilfield workers when they shutdown the Keystone Pipeline project. In fact Biden told a bunch of welders to get a job leaning to code LOL. Trump has told the govt workers they can go process ILLEGAL aliens paperwork if they want to keep their jobs. What comes around goes around. What Trump/Doge is doing is long overdue. In addition to burning the bureaucracy to the ground he's ending Dems slush funds like the Clinton Fund. About time, one things true is Trump is doing exactly what he said he was going to do and I find this quite refreshing. My wife used to work for HP for 26 years and they did to he what Doge is doing now.

thats not whats happening. they are not just cutting waste.

the pace, the scope, the lack of oversight, the massive conflicts of interest, the glee he is taking in destroying peoples lives.

that is what is happening and its incredibly irresponsible and childish. and back to my initial comment that you replied to...no actual business operates in this chaotic fashion.

your wife worked for a company for 26 years and an outside hatchetman emailed her one weekend to tell her that she had to list 5 things she did the previous week or she would be fired? she lost her job after 26 years?

Did your wife get fired? If so, did she feel her dismissal was long overdue and warranted?

No she was laid off, with 6 months severage so that she had a chance to find another job. They're giving govt workers 8 months severage which is plenty of time for them to find another job without their lifestyles being greatly affected. That's if they were good at their jobs. If they weren't good at their jobs then their lifestyles may change. Rightfully so.

This is exactly what is happening you just dont like how and at what pace they're doing this at. It's certainly not childish or irresponsible. It's long overdue.

The hatchetman came on a Monday the day we got back from a 10 day vacation after spending way too much money had we known she was going to be laid off. We changed our lifestyles, adapted and moved on, you know what people should be doing when situations change. Now we're back to living like we were before.

This is the point I'm trying to make.

The days of the Democratic slush fund are over.
